Sort-of agree. INTJ and puzzle and strategy games are second favorites, but open-world RPGs with mods are my absolute favorite... which is close enough to sandbox, I guess. Sandbox plus narrative and conceptual/historical (rather than only architectural) world-building.

FPS is my least favorite, probably.

According to this article, the only good games that ISFJs like are the Zelda games.

Jokes aside, I like a plethora of games so it's kinda right for me (INTJ), but it's leaving out quite a bit. Minecraft is a fantastic game, but I generally lean toward Shin Megami Tensei, Metroid, Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon games. I like games that involve a lot of strategy or finding a lot of hidden items/areas in games; business simulators like RollerCoaster Tycoon are cool as fuck too. I can't stand MMORPGs or most online shooters outside of Splatoon, Team Fortress 2, and Counter-Strike.

I feel like the only thing this thread established so far and will establish is that favourite genres have nothing to do with type.

    My top 10:
    Europa Universalis game series
    Cities Skylines
    Civilization game series
    Uncharted game series
Grand Theft Auto game series (San Andreas!)
Assassin's Creed game series (II is the best, followed by black flag)
    The Last of Us
    Until Dawn
    Heavy Rain
    Pokémon game series
    Kerbal Space Program

    When i was younger also:
    Cycling/Football Manager
    Games like Call of Duty
    FIFA
and games like Pokémon (that i still like, but i don't have enough time)
    Mario games :D

Looking forward to No Man's Sky, Hearts of Iron IV, Uncharted IV, Mafia III and i think that's going to be it.

It's like asking someone's favorite TV or book genre. I believe it's more so the reactions to favorite genres that are type specific rather than the genre itself.

I don't get this sentence. You mean like (for example) all ESTPs will react to strategies the same way? Because that and types having the same favourite genres is the same thing.

Most likely yes. I think same types would react similarly....but it doesn't mean they have the same favorite genres. I mean Like those people you see gushing over characters in shows. Some groups of people use specific language when describing them. For others, say in an RPG, similar types would take a similar approach to playing them.

Well, that raises the problem that I dislike FPS and the article calls it my favourite genre. That's a way too different reaction.
