Another World and Flashback (and their sequels/remakes)
Who else remembers these exemplars of the cinematic platformer genre? The versions of Another World that I played were titled 'Out of This World' and were on the Super NES and on Sega CD. The sequel, 'Heart of the Alien' (if you ask me, Lester is the "alien"), was coupled with 'Out of This World' on Sega CD. I also had the Genesis and Sega CD versions of Flashback. Never owned an Amiga, so I never played the original versions. The sequel to Flashback, 'Fade to Black', didn't enthrall me as much as the original. Same for 'Heart of the Alien'.
Here are some trib vids I made. This one is the intro to 'Out of This World' spliced together with music from Sub-Terrania.

Here's the intro to the DOS version of Flashback spliced together with music and sound effects from the NES version of Contra. Some folk don't know Contra was originally an arcade game.

My 13-year-old self in 1993 with a mullet was the master of Flashback. I beat it on every do0mficulty. Now I die within less than a minute. Getting old sucks.

Also, I never understood why some folk thought Flashback was a sequel to 'Out of This World'. Did they not pay attention to the stories?
