Do You Need Help on Your Tritype?

    ENNEAGRAM TRITYPE

So I think I've come up with a pretty great way to find your tritype.
I know a lot of the time we get so confused about it because we'll get different answers on tests.
And sometimes it's because we are in a bad frame of mind or have become numb to the answers.
It can also be because we take it alone.

But I think I can help.
I've helped quite a few get an answer they are comfortable with.

So if you are interested in being apart of the experiment, let me know on the thread.
Include what you think your core may be, why and what other types you find common ground on.
I will PM you and go from there.

    Fill out:
    What my core may be:
    Why:
What other types I relate to the most:

(Don't expect an answer too quickly because I don't know what the load is going to be like)

What my core may be: 1w2 or 3w4

Why: I've always wanted to be perfect since I was a child. I am an unfinished projects and there are so many things I could fix. I always felt disgusted at the world around me and had the urge to make everything right. I believe repressing your feelings and analyzing them is the best way to do the right thing. I have a lot of moral rules I have to abide by. I feel a sense of loyalty towards people who share the same morals as me and I try to be there for them as much as possible.

Success and achievement's what I live for. I have many journals dedicated to a fame formula. I want recognition and I want others to admire me. I adore respect. I'm a social chameleon and I know how to adapt in order to achieve a goal. Whenever I make friends, I think about their potential for success and if they don't have much IMO, I don't befriend them. Everything I do is for the sake of a goal.

What other types I relate to the most: I relate to 8 because I hate being controlled with a passion. I hate pushovers with a passion and I think it's disgusting when others let people walk all over them for the sake of keeping the peace or harmony. I would never do something like that. I want respect from others and if I feel like others are treating be badly, I'm not afraid of confronting them.

I relate to 6 because I'm slightly paranoid and I always expect the worst from everything and everyone. I don't believe in trust at all. I would love to be able to trust in authority but I can't because I can't help questioning anyone above me nor can I let others control me. I don't like going along with things because I'm supposed to.

I'd be interested in this. I'm not too certain on what my core may be though :/. I relate most to 4, 5 and 6, but I've no idea which I prioritise more because I see bits of all of them in me and could be missing some information about other types. Sorry, but that's all the information I know at this point. I have done a questionnaire in another thread though if that's any help

Sort of, kind of. I'm think it's 6w5, 9w?, and 5w4 but I'm not quite too keen on if that's it.

    What my core may be:
Five, I'm quite sure for long time. I think I have balanced wings
    Why: Everything matches.
What other types I relate to the most:

I have a lot of superficial similarity to eight, which to me only confirms my fiveness. I don't like eights irl because we tend to conflict, as instead of backing off I face them. Sometimes I get eight in enneagram tests. But I'm not an eight and I can't act like eight, that would be very tiring. However I can see why I may appear eight-like. I certainly am prone to be defensive or even aggressive, I'm often angry and I can show it, though usually it goes away very easily. But I think I get angry in different situations than eights.

Threes, as I think I have some of their drive to be appreciated, but not necessarily bothered. I can appear three-like, I may be flashy or domineering. I tend to attract unwanted attention by my own actions.

In tests I sometimes score high in nine answers. I don't know this type much, so I'm not sure why. I definitely don't like people who desperately try to be nice to everybody, but I think I may share a lot of soft abilities, like sympathy, reading non verbal signals, diplomacy, mediation, tact etc. However, unlike a 9 I tend rather to read people and ignore what I see or only use it for my own reasons, instead of helping them and certainly not conforming to them...

I also give a small chance to four, because I think my nature isn't four, but I can see why they like the thing they like. I have artistic inclination that is completely amateur and more self-oriented, not public oriented - that's something four-like to me. I can be very expressive when I want. But it may be a more a three-like feature. I like expressive and exaggerated art. I tend to be eccentric and a bit mischievous at times.

Enneagram type is rarely "comfortable." In fact, for many, it's supposed to be uncomfortable.

What is your process? How long have you studied the system?

Must it be so? Must the self-discovery be horrible? ;)

I really like my type and the only thing I regret now is that I'm not healthier. But as a five I'm happier with any diagnosis than without any.
I admit I didn't like being typed as five at the beginning, but that was before I understood what five really is.

But you're right it's not always pleasant, I took a look at tritypes, my... I think this will be another thing to deal with.

If you don't confront your ego, persona, and complexes, then the resulting "self-discovery" is somewhat pointless. Sometimes finding your core type isn't the hardest thing ever--I wasn't devastated discovering I was a 6--but it should make you at least question yourself (which 6 did for me).

I asked for @Younique to divulge her process; I was hoping to get more information before confessing my concerns. But the way this was presented makes me wary about if she'll be accurate or just leading newcomers to mistype.
