    E-type this noodle

    1. What do you think your life is about? What drives you in life? This can be something like a goal or a purpose, or anything else that comes to mind.

Finding my identity, finding and enjoying my passions. Exploring, whether it's through traveling or learning lots. Enjoying friendships and simple pleasures(like food and hours of games). Oh, and becoming famous too, though perhaps in a more low key way like being internet famous.

    2. What were you like as a kid?

Pretty quirky. I liked to dress like Punky Brewster. I had a big fangirl phase and wanted to be internet famous. I was a quiet kid and was usually easygoing but I had my fiery moments. I loved to learn and invent and I liked to prank my friends. I loved anything fantasy related and enjoyed creative activities like crafting, YouTubing, and drawing. Ahh, nostalgia.

    3. Describe your relationship with your parents. Does anything stand out about the way you interacted?

Pretty good nowadays. They have a good sense of humor, even when dry, and are supportive. It's felt distant at times though, but I am quiet. When I was a kid though there was fighting at home so that was scary. I fought back then but now I feel bad about it. I think people would be surprised to hear that I fought like that cause of how chill I am now.

    4. What values are important to you? What do you hope to avoid doing or being?

My main values include forgiveness, respecting people's differences, supporting the underdog, and fairness. I hope to avoid being plain, a burden to others, overbearing(like too loud and overreacting) and ruthless.

    5. Aside from phobias, are there any fears that characterized your childhood? Have they continued into the present day, or not, and if not, how have you dealt with them?

I think the phobias I had all tied into one fear: loss of things/security. I'd scoff at people who were scared of spiders because they wouldn't destroy your house(like bad weather or fire). I'd find myself preparing in my head a lot. I also had trouble saying no. Either I was afraid of disappointing people or feared missing out.

    6. a.) How do you see yourself?

I'm a pretty easygoing gal. Very quiet, a hermit at times. I feel insecure and awkward a lot, almost like an alien in life. I'm a little derpy, a little lazy. I like a good laugh and am curious about a lot of things. I look unassuming but I have lots to offer. I enjoy creative prospects and expressing myself.

b.) How do you want others to see you?

Laid back, creative, unique, independent, funny, and just an overall friendly person

c.) What do you dislike the most in other people?

People who don't give you space, are too rowdy, are critical and judgmental, flaunt their beliefs, and are just overall aggressive

    7. Which habit do you most automatically act on? Rank the following habits from most to least automatic, on a scale of 1 (most) to 3 (least).

a.) Work for personal gain with more concern for self than for others-2
b.) Strive for a sense of tranquility in yourself and the world around you-1
c.) Decide what is right for the betterment of something or someone else-3

    8. Where does the wandering mind take you? What provokes this?

Provoke, I'm not always sure. I'm a natural daydreamer who can daydream for hours on end. Sometimes it's happy daydreams of being with a friend. Sometimes I'm imagining myself as a character on TV. Sometimes I get creepy or deep thoughts out of nowhere. What if we ran out of movies? What makes someone a good person? How will the next universe form?

9.What makes you feel your best? What makes you feel your worst?

Best: Traveling, have a good friend/partner, binge watching or gaming, relaxing with a hot drink, making art, relaxing in nature, learning something really cool, the feeling of winning or being admired(but not in an overbearing way!)

Worst: Being a third wheel, being criticized, messing up in many aspects, when people put words in my mouth, too much routine(though some is comforting), group projects, expressing feelings most of the time(makes me feel vulnerable)

    10. Let's talk about emotions. Explain what might make you feel the following, how they feel to you or how you react to the emotion:

a.) anger: What makes me especially angry is when people are jumping to conclusions, being critical, and hurting the innocent. But I'm not one who expresses my anger much. I try not to, and if it comes out it comes out in a blunt way. I rarely rage or anything. Anger as a feeling is almost energizing, but yeah, not something I like to express.

B]b.) shame:[/B] I feel shame being a plain Jane in the midst of unique people or those who have more of an identity. I also don't like looking like an idiot/incompetent.

c.) anxiety: I feel a lot of that aha. I'm protective of people and things and fear losing everything. I'm attuned to danger and I am an introverted and private person who fears being mauled on.

    11. Describe how you respond to the following:

a.) stress: I numb myself with things like TV and music. I panic about whatever is stressing me and yet ignore it at the same time. I become suspicious of others and fear for the worst.

b.) negative unexpected change: I get thrown off as I have this tendency to plan in my head. Plus I would just be disappointed like if something was canceled. If it was a big change like moving I would be scared to let go.

c.) conflict: Something I actively avoid. I try not to get riled up over silly things and I fear the potential of hurting others or losing them. It makes me very compromising and forgiving so that's good. I like roasting people though.

    12. a.) What kind of role are you naturally inclined to take in a group? Why?

Anything where I can show off my creative prowess. I want my work to be known but I don't want to be too front and center. And I simply like getting to produce unique work.

b.) If put in power, how do you behave? Why?

A bit awkward and shy. I'm not a fan of most group stuff and it feels weird controlling others and getting organized. Sometimes I'm interested though if whatever I'm in charge of is something I enjoy. Hey, I like getting to do I want to do.

c.) Do you tend to struggle with others who have authority over you? Why?

Usually yeah. Like I'm not some big rebel, but those who are in authority can easily abuse their powers. I'm not great at taking criticism ahaha.

    13. What do you see or notice in others that most people don't?

I don't think anything particularly special but I try to look for the best in people even if they seem evil. Or telling if someone is a bad person from pure intuition.

    14. Comment on your relationship with trust.

It's weird, it feels like I trust everyone and no one at the same time. Like I see the best in others when no one else can. Other people see me as naďve. And yet when people are trying to help or show me something, I get suspicious. I am mostly a private person yet I like writing things like these.

    15. Briefly: What religious and/or political beliefs do you have? Do you think they influenced your responses in this questionnaire?

Democratic but I'm mostly ambivalent towards politics. I don't have a clear religious view but I feel like there's something more to life. I don't think they affected my answers.

A lot of the ‘planning in my head’, ‘fear of losing security’ and ‘attuned to danger’-type stuff reminds me of 6. And this: “Usually yeah. Like I'm not some big rebel, but those who are in authority can easily abuse their powers. I'm not great at taking criticism ahaha.”

There’s also a case to be made for 9.

Ah cool, I was thinking one of them. Got any ideas on heart or variants?

That's alright. So you said there's a case for 9, how shall I decide? Maybe elaborate too on the case?

The only statements I can see that might, possibly, indicate 9 are that you answered ‘strive for tranquility’ as #1, and that you numb yourself. I don’t know how familiar you are with Enneagram, but it’s all about the motivations and the underlying patterns of behaviour. I recommend you read and listen to podcasts about both types, because that’s the only real way you can figure it out. The Enneagram also manifests itself differently from person to person. I’ve seen 9 posts on here that I relate to immensely and I’ve listened to 9 podcasts where I thought the person was lovely, but if I had been new to the Enneagram at that point they would’ve made me doubt my type because I’m definitely not the typical “always thinks of others” kind of Nine. I mean, I still doubt my type sometimes.

Also, Six descriptions can be kind of... stereotypical and OTT sometimes, I think, so don’t take them as gospel (i.e. don’t read them and dismiss them out of hand. Actually take time to study the type and its motivations). But look into it and aee how you go.
