    LoL, I can't believe it.

I had to reach back to one of my (self-centered) threads because it has gone too far in other threads.

I sat down and filled out a test after a couple of drinks (you know, when people are more honest and less judgemental) and look what came out for my type:

@Turi , you may be insterested.

    ENTJ

in bolded, because I'm a feeler

    E 64% 36% I
    S 18% 82% N
    T 64% 36% F
    P 36% 64% J

Well.. after a few drinks, this could be the result of being more boisterous and "full of shit" than normal, as well, haha.

    What could this be:

    What could this be:

Well, maybe. Usually I'm more myself (more in touch with my feelings) after a couple of drinks.

For some reason I haven't seen this reply to this thread, so I haven't checked.

BTW, another test, another NT result. This time INTP.

I really don't know how and why I should consider the feeler or the sensor options, when all these tests do is reassuring that I'm not one.

Okay, this is an old thread about me. I recommend you to just ignore the old posts.

So I just took a test here https://www.idrlabs.com/test/infp-or-infj.php whether I'm INFP or INFJ
...because it always comes back to these two options.

And it came out INFP, but instead of blindly trusting the results I want you to read my thoughts about this questionnaire - and then you be the judge whether I am a P or J.

(questions in bold, answers in straight)

    1. What is more important to you?

Good manners - of course it's important to call it as you see it, but you need to phrase your message so that people won't get hurt.

Sincerity - of course it's important to be nice, but it's more important to be sincere and true to yourself so others know where you stand.

Well. Sincerity is a thing that is important. If I learn that someone was insincere that really questions my faith in him.
On the other hand, good manners is something that if you don't have I may not even take you seriously.
What do we call good manners even? Soft spoken literate people?

Anyway, if I have to call it's gonna be sincerity. If I don't know who you are, if you don't show your true colors I have a hard time trusting you.
But I really hate bad manners.

    2. Which better describes your way of thinking?

Of course there are differences in people's values but in the end I think that we are all one; all looking for the same thing.

Of course people have some similarities, but at heart each person has a set of core values that are unique to them.

The thing that we are all one is a stretch. How can you say that we're all one?
I'm gonna go with all people have some uniqueness.
    That's at least - half - true.

    3. People who want to organize everyone's business according to formal, logical rules:

Are generally in need of a helping hand. Logical rules can be a great boon to an organization, but they need to be balanced with insight into the whole of human nature.

Generally do not see that they are trampling the enthusiasm and unique contributions of others under foot. These people should spend more time listening to their subordinates.

Having insight into the whole of human nature is just a big bull.
You can't have an insight into the WHOLE of human nature.
Speding time with your subordinates however is a great idea to building an organization.

    4. When I look at the scene of international politics I see:

Good guys and bad guys. Of course no one is perfect, but in the end you can often see the strong guys bullying the weak. The weak guys don't even get a chance, and that is not right.

Different shades of grey. Of course all countries are not equally bad, but they're all driven by self-interest. The best way to get along is for all countries to agree to play by a common set of rules.

Well I see good guys and bad guys mostly but the barrier between them is incredibly thin.
On the other hand playing by a common set of rules is a great idea, so again I have to go with the second option.

    5. Which better describes your personal ethics?

There are certain acts that I could never do, simply because the acts themselves are so loathsome to me.

There are certain acts that are wrongful, but which can be justified in service of an overall goal.

As much as I wanna answer that there are certain things that I'd never do I think in order to achieve anything you gotta get your hands dirty sometimes so I'm gonna go with that.

    6. Which better describes your view of logic?

I appreciate logic as a building block - a stepping stone to something greater. But by itself it can never be more than a tool.

Logic is mostly irrelevant to my interests. Unless there is a direct application that pertains to my interests, it doesn't interest me.

Well, logic doesn't interest me. Unless there is something that requires it and then I'm gonna have to use it.
What else would I do with logic?

    7. Which better describes your attitude in the workplace?

If I have to criticize others I prefer to sandwich the criticism between positive feedback for other tasks.

If I have to criticize others I prefer to point out how their neglect has unfortunate consequences for others.

The second option sounds weird - I don't like to step on peoples' toes like that so it's the first one.

    8. Which better describes your attitude towards foreign countries?

I cherish visiting foreign countries, particularly exotic and underexposed ones. It is interesting to see how people live in different parts of the world.

While I like some foreign countries and cities, I don't go traveling just for adventure's sake. If I do go traveling, I like to visit cities and countries where I've been before.

Isn't the whole idea of traveling is that you go places you've never been before?
As much as I may have my favourites among them I'm gonna go see how other people live - it's much more interesting.

    9. Leaders should:

Be driven by an inner vision about the overall good of the organization.

Strive to bring out the best in each and every subordinate.

Again, inner vision is great but you cannot force that onto people.
So it's bring out the best in each subordinate. You can't do better than that.

    10. Which would you say is a bigger problem for you?

I tend to over-snack on sugar, fat, alcohol, tobacco or some-such, and I tend to either overindulge bodily needs or neglect them.

Other people seem to be cut out for a 9-5 corporate zombie routine, and it sometimes makes me feel like a space alien that I just don't fit in.

I really hate to be a corporate zombie but the first one is awfully familiar.
I routinely forget my bodily needs or overindulge them. It's really hard for me to keep a balance.

    11. Which better describes your outlook?

We must all try to fit in and then pursue our goals and individuality from there.

Nobody has the right to tell anybody else to "fit in" and people should respect individuality more.

Fit in and pursue our goals from where?
    Where is there?
And what if your goal was not to be fit in in the first place?
Why would anyone need to be fit in anyway? It just takes away whatever originality you may bring to the table.
    It's the second.

    12. Which describes your view of empathy better?

When empathizing with others, I tend to find that I can help them the most when I can identify the basic emotions involved and then clarify to them what they are feeling.

When empathizing with others, I tend to find that I can help them the most if I surrender myself completely to their inner experience without judging them or putting words in their mouths.

The first one sounds like a therapist.
And I'm not a therapist so it's the second.

    13. Which statement is more in accordance with your view of ideas?

I believe that there is a finite amount of ideas going around, which are being expressed in various ways. Each expression has a different nuance, but at the end of the day, they are the same ideas phrased differently.

I believe that the amount of ideas going around is as numerous as the amount of people in the world. People's own experience of what is important to them is too deep to be reduced to someone else's experience.

The idea that there is a finite amount of ideas in the world, while it might be true, is depressing to the heart.
So I'm gonna go with the second one: each people have ideas that are unique to them.

    14. Which better describes your view of children:

While I get along fine with adults, I can't help but find that society's expectations and routines have pressured them to become something that they're not. I find that children are less spoiled in this manner and that gives me hope.

Of course children are less corrupted, but in the end I prefer adults because they have access to the full range of human emotion.

While I agree with the first statement, I'm gonna go with the second this time.
I just prefer adults to kids because I cannot do anything with kids. They're like animals - a dog or a cat. They're nice but what should I do with them?

    15. The kind of people that frustrate me the most are:

People who patronize me by letting me know how they think I ought to be.

People who do not reciprocate common courtesies and are inattentive to others.

I don't know what common courtesies are but people who patronize me frustate me to hell so it's that.

    16. What are your reading habits like?

Compared to other people in my line of work, I tend to gravitate towards theory and non-fiction. While I am also sympathetic to fiction, I tend to find myself thinking that a novel must also impart lessons that can be applied to the real world.

Compared to other people in my line of work, I tend to gravitate towards fiction. While I am also sympathetic to theory and non-fiction, I find that fiction is where it gets really exciting.

I don't really like fiction at all. I only like fiction in movies.
I like theory in books however. I have a whole lot of books about theories and non-fiction (how to build a business, biographies...etc). I really like them.

    and finally..

    17. Which is more true of you?

I have the heart of a child.

I have the soul of a sage.

    Well, haha, both are true.
I can see both be applied to myself so I simply go with the more sympathetic answer here which is:
I have the heart of a child.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I said, I came out as an INFP based on these so don't bother with that.

But if you see something in my answers, something that may to do with a different type or makes you question what I am I would like to hear that.

    Thank you.

I guess you're more likely to be Fi, considering the statement you wrote.
