    Another INTJ vs. INTP dilemma.

I've always questioned my type, I've never had a definite type that I'm sure I fit 100% (I don't think anyone really does.) The closest I got to this was INTP. Although now I'm beginning to wonder...

In every MBTI test that claims to be accurate, I score INTJ. Almost every time.

Also, every type I questioned myself to be was a judging type. Why did I suddenly decide that I was a perceiver?! It didn't make much logical sense to me.

The types I've considered were ISFJ (of course, i've discontinued this), ISTJ (also test this quite often), and then suddenly... INTP.

    I'd appreciate your opinions.

You have to look at the functions. INTP and INTJ have no functions in common.

I see this all the time -- people thinking they are either an INTP or INTJ. And it just doesn't make any sense. "I'm 50% j/p"

    No, you aren't lol.

The J/P changes your entire set of cognitive functions.

Not to mention INTPs are judging doms and INTJs are perceiving doms.

Do you identify more with Fi or Fe? I find that one to be the easiest to determine.

If you're Fi, you're probably an INTJ.

Are you base your opinion only on tests?

    There is another test.

INTP and INTJ have no functions in common.
Yes. Functions show these differences better then MBTI.
Instead of test I suggest read

I identify a lot more with Fi, Fe would be my weakest function. So that's all that makes me an INTJ as opposed to an INTP?

I've also seen that the INTJ's weakest function is Si, and I'd believe I have pretty strong Si.

I've taken the INTJ or INTP Test - CelebrityTypes.com test.

    I scored 50/50.

And I will consider reading more into the cognitive functions.

Hmm... I guess I was wrong about Fi over Fe. But Ni and Ti are pretty close, Ni beating it out... guess that's why I thought I was an INTP.
    Gentleman thanked this post.

To be fair, MBTI is merely a theory after all. It may very well be that you do not fit into a neatly-defined box.

But it could also be that typing yourself can just be a hard thing to do because you identify with everything to some degree.

You have to remember it's about preferences -- not about "I am 100% this and 0% that."

Definitely will keep that in mind, thanks.
