    What type is this woman?

Three months ago got employed with a Security Company that operates at the new Amway Center in downtown Orlando, Florida. It's the home of the Orlando Magic professional basketball team. Now, I'm usually posted at an outdoor bar on the north east terrace level(3rd floor) of the Arena. Two of the Magic Dancers are always right outside the bar and because I'm called in before the doors open, I have the opportunity to talk with them along with other employees in the area. Now for the question.

There's one I've had the opportunity to talk to that I find very attractive, personality wise. Unfortunately she's engaged. I'd like to figure out what type she is though, so at least I know the type I'm attracted to. Here's a link to her profile on the Magic section of nba.com. It has a short bio and a 1:05 video of an interview with her.

    MAGIC: Magic Dancer Jenna 1011

Edit: Touche mods, lol. Good fix.

From the little tidbits of info she put into her profile I would say ESFJ. That profile is just radiating Fe all over the place, possibly why you feel attracted to her. Inferior/tertiary Fe gets pulled towards dominant or auxiliary Fe so you might find yourself gravitating towards girls of any personality type with stronger Fe than your own.

Here is what I have picked up:

10 years from now I see myself: Happily married with a family and teaching young girls my passion for dance. - Having family/teaching kids is a very Fe thing to desire. Sounds like she needs people to care for. Plans things, a J.

I never travel without: Makeup, comfy pants, a sweater (I always get cold) and deodorant - This may indicate that her creative function is Si. Si values personal comfort.

Favorite TV Shows: Jersey Shore, Real World, The Bachelorette
    Favorite Movie: Twilight
Favorite Book: This is a toughy...I'm pretty much obsessed with The Twilight Series, The Notebook, The Lovely Bones
^^ These types of people and relationship focused themes a feeler would be interested in, especially a dominant feeler.

If I wasn't a Dancer: Children's book illustrator - Expressed feeler once again.

10 years ago at this time I was: 14, getting ready to start my freshman year in high school and dancing every single second of my life - High energy extravert. Plans and anticipates once again - a J. Focuses and lives in the present moment - a sensor.

I was thinking about the same too(ESFX). I always thought that J's were a little more uptight, though. She seems, from what I know of her, very go with the flow and relaxed. Is that possible to find in a J?

I also agree with being attracted because of Fe. But, I also find her personality very attractive because she seems so chill.

How J-ness gets expressed in people tends to vary. Sometimes on this forum you will notice people describing someone as a "strong J". Some Js on the other hand question that they are Js at all because they don't see themselves act very J-like. That Js are uptight is really only like a crystallization of what a judging function is in its most pure form, but there are also other function that come into play. For example I don't often express Fe judgements because I might also feel that it might upset others or with Ni I foresee that the judgement is premature, so then the extraverted judging function gets toned down.

Another reason you might feel relaxed around her is because of inferior-dominant pull. From what I've read on socionics forums, it said that people tend to feel relaxed in company of someone who has their inferior function as their dominant, the exact words were "produces a soothing psychological effect". It was also said that at the time you might not realize this is going on, but when you leave the presence of such person you will start missing them and get pulled back to seek encounters with them again.

ESFP and ESFJ are look-alike personalities so from amount of info available I would say it is difficult to say for sure. They don't share a single function in common though, so just watch for clues to determine if she gravitates more towards Se or Fe value.
