    Tossup between SEI or IEI

    1. What is beauty? What is love?

Beauty is when something not only looks good, but invokes a feeling inside of you. Feeling at peace while taking a walk in nature. Looking at a piece of art in a museum and feeling inspired. Being proud of a cake you made and wanting to dive into it.

Love is actually spending time with a person and being loyal, enjoying a good laugh together, and being generous.

    2. What are your most important values?

Open-mindedness, whether that’s being accepting of differences or trying new things. Keeping that live and let live attitude; being forgiving as possible and understanding why someone did something bad. Being generous-I just like to help out and make people happy.

    3. Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?

Organized religion can be scary tbh(judgement, worrying your religion will be wrong). But I like finding that peace, so I have found spirituality. I didn’t grow up with any real religious influence; we weren’t atheists but my family didn’t go to church or anything for the most part.

    4. Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?

I don’t read up much about militaries(don’t pay too much attention to politics or anything). I guess war is a necessary evil, but don’t hurt the innocent. Power is something that can easily go to peoples' heads. But it’s also that feeling of confidence and being excited to share my ideas. I think it should be distributed more evenly.

    Interests
    5. What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?

I like conversing about different ideas-different recipe ideas, different ideas for made-up characters, different ideas for made-up video games. Dream houses, dream vacations, dream pets. Since I’m here, I’m a huge personality junkie. It’s fascinating getting to know myself more and meet like-minded people. I like taking tests with a friend and trying to guess types. I like talking about random opinions too, like what the most overrated ___ is.

I like cooking-it’s art on a plate, and and food is an integral part of different cultures(I’ve always wanted to travel!). I love music because it tells a story and makes me dance. A common activity of mine is just putting on my headphones and daydreaming. I love both video games and board games. Board games for the friendly competition and strategy, video games for the different fantasy worlds.

    6. Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?

Yeah! I try to focus on my body because I want to be energetic and not feel like crap all the time. It’s fascinating reading about all the weird symptoms a person can have, and I even find myself playing doctor sometimes. I like the mystery! And I’m interested in nutrition-it’s great how something delicious like food can be your natural medicine. Does butter in coffee really make the caffeine last longer? Does spicy food really boost your metabolism?

    7. What do you think of daily chores?

Surprisingly satisfying. I may procrastinate, but it’s simple enough to throw the clothes in the dryer and press start.

    8. Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.

I’m attracted to whimsical and nostalgic-feeling books/films. Studio Ghibli, the Iron Giant, Arthur and the Invisibles, Matilda, Chronicles of Narnia. Ready Player One was a favorite book, plus YouTuber books are hilarious! For shows, I’m a nerd for cooking competitions like Masterchef and various Food Network shows. It’s so cool what they do with wacky ingredients, and I like to imagine what I’d make too. I liked the symbolism of Death Note and the deepness of Fullmetal Alchemist. I like historical fiction for a genre-it’s fascinating seeing what people acted like in the old days in comparison to now. My favorite cartoon is Total Drama because of the array of characters and funny competitions.

    9. What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?

I’d say I’m empathetic, as I can tear up at other people’s conflicts and sad movies pretty easily. Tbh I’m pretty sensitive to yelling. And I tear up if I feel I failed someone or something like a test.

What’s made me smile? Trying exotic foods and spicy foods. Traveling to new towns. Being with a couple close friends. Days alone with Netflix and music-they’re relaxing. Puns and memes. Being at the fair-the wild fried foods, the intricate art of the vendors, and of course the fun rides. Animals-they’re cute and fascinating. The soothingness of cool foggy weather, being on a swing. A cup of hot chocolate with a good book.

    10. Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?

Being with a couple friends, bookstores, quaint cafes, being in towns I used to live in, doing something in my element

    Evaluation & Behaviour
    11. What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?

I’ve been told I’m indecisive, don’t speak up enough and am unorganized. They’re right, I don’t like missing opportunity and am pretty passive. I dislike that I am an anxious person, forgive but don’t forget(only the second part of course), and that I’m forgetful(short term, but my long term memory is notoriously good!).

    12. What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?

I’ve been told I’m adventurous, modest, creative, and see the best in others. Besides those, I like that I’m pretty go-with-the-flow and open-minded.

    13. In what areas of your life would you like help?

Organization. I’m ambitious and am productive when inspired, but feel like overall organization would help me achieve my ambitions better. Social skills too. I'm not sure if it’s me or the other person sometimes. It sucks when you enthuse about your interests with a person and then they leave. It does take me a while to feel truly welcome when people invite me to sit with them though. And I’m a little private with feelings and some small-talky stuff.

    14. Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.

Yup! It makes life feel meaningless. It’s usually from school but also not going out much. I find myself doing repetitive soothing things yet being bored and procrastinating but then feeling anxious.

    People & Interactions
    15. What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?

I like it when people are sociable but not overbearing, passionate, like a good joke, are adventurous and like to have deep conversations. I dislike it when people are obnoxious, manipulative, and close-minded.

    16. How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?

Being in a relationship makes me more confident. I just like having that one person to depend on and kiss. I think you should treat you partner like your best friend-it creates a more understanding relationship and is simply more fun :) . I want someone who is funny/goofy, gentle, and understanding.

    17. If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?

I want my kid to feel safe with me and be able to share their problems without feeling like they’ll be shamed. I want them to know basic life skills so they won’t feel lost in the future. I want my kid to simply do kid things and try different experiences-school clubs, dances, sleepovers. I don’t want them to be sheltered.

    18. A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?

Not much going on on the outside-I don’t really like to argue. I may ask why they think that. Inside, sometimes I get angry, sometimes I don’t. You probably won’t notice. I’m not the most opinionated about my beliefs. If there’s some political debate going on, I’ll think it’s juicy conversation even if the beliefs clash with mine. But if a claim is directly hurting someone, I’m more likely to get angry.

    19. Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.

I’m a simple white middle class female. People are generally well-meaning. I’m glad we have come a long way in society in terms of being accepting of people’s differences. And yet we’re more divided. SJWS(which honestly annoy me) vs anti-SJWs, democrats vs republicans, rich vs poor. I wish there was more of a middle ground.

    20. How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?

They usually choose me, but I choose them based on how much we have in common, whether that’s interests or traits. I really hope they’re loyal. Hopefully they’re not the exact same though. I’m often the quiet one of my friends, but I’m a goofball and I like to be helpful.

    21. How do you behave around strangers?

Shy but polite. Sometimes I worry they’ll be too touchy though.

There. A lot of SEI things sound like me, it’s just that I quite enjoy thinking about the future. I love a lot of traditionally sensory things like good food, travel, nature, fair rides, but my mind wanders to daydream a lot. So confusing! Am I even INFP anymore??

    SEI, Si/Ne type definitely

Judicious and Merry... Alpha quadrant for sure. Based on this alone, I can't tell much about actual types, except if it's between IEI and SEI, I'd pick SEI. ESE isn't off the table either.

Ooh, why ESE? Didn't consider that one

If you think your intuition is higher in your function stack, that could be ESE. Moreover you said you relate more to process than result, so I was going off of that

I'm one of the biggest basement dwelling otaku types there is, but apparently, I strike as a rational extrovert according to an expert. That's why I'm undecided on my type. A lot of things about ILI fit but apparently I don't need to be socially an extrovert to be ENTj. But then again, alpha SFs are more socially conventional, if that makes sense. I have yet to meet a quiet kind of ESE (except for maybe my grandmother but she's very old).

Oh, I also don't have any solid opinion on Renin dichotomies either so *shrugs*

    Anyway, alpha fits, I'd say.

You're an INFP. You like doing chores because Si is your tertiary relief function.

Any specific reasons for thinking so?

Yes. An ISFJ's most important value is "open mindedness"? Can you people possibly even be serious? "I'm spiritual because organized religion is scary" is the statement an Fe type would make? This person likes children's books and movies which is a notorious NF trait. I talked to an INFP once who won't even read Wuthering Heights because it's got abuse in it. HAHAHAHA. Let's not read books about things that happen every day in real life. Ok.

    Dream pets?
