@Napoleptic - that's the labyrinth from the movie The Labyrinth (David Bowie as the Goblin King woot!)

Do you know/like Brian Froud?

He did the art design for the movie The Dark Crystal as well as publishing books of fantasy art

Oh yes, very much! And I just watched Labyrinth again a couple months ago - I don't know why I didn't recognize it. Although I have to say that Dark Crystal is my favorite - I absolutely love that movie. I remember getting chills when I was a kid seeing the mystic's hand bleed when the Skeksi was injured.

When I was into polymer clay I discovered a few Froudian sculptors I liked, and there's at least one member on Craftster who was selected as a Froudian artist of the month - I like her steampunk fairy:

This is why I got into music theory. Oh. My. God.

How many times did your Ni orgasm while watching/thinking/listening/drawing abstract connections/figuring out how the cosmos works/suddenly seeing the underlying fractal pattern of all existence for a tiny moment as all those dots... flow into synchronization.

... THE GLORIOUS MATH OF IT.

BE HONEST.

I can't find a good enough adjective to describe it.

Screw that - if we're going for imaginary flight I want it to be my own! I shall ascend to the top shelf and spiral lazily down with an armful of books. Or just float around reading, that would be cool too.

The final quote:

"In my talons I shape clay, crafting lifeforms as I please. All around me is a burgeoning empire of steel; from my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My wings shall become lightning bolts that devastate the minds of humanity. Out of the chaos they will run and whimper, praying to me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision; 'God' - the title suits me well..."
