He seem like either entp or enfp. He definitely an ENXP

He did a lot of crazy stuff in the past, and he seems pretty spontaneous. I personally always thought that he seemed like an entp to me. He has played an entp in quite a few movies (Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes for instance). However, I've seen a lot of websites list him as an entj. He's definetly not an enfp though. He has too logical of a mindset to be enfp.

I've heard Sherlock Holmes typed as an INTP and an ISTP, but never an ENTP. I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard it's faithful to the character, at least.
IDK, maybe he was an INTP with good extroverted skills...Maybe NE was his second function, and not his first....that would make sense.

I wish people wouldn't insist that people they like are their type just because it would raise their ego.
i don't think that's an ego thing..i think some people are just better at recognizing their own type then they are others and tend to comment on those more which makes it look like that and it's not just people we like...like for example...i'm pretty sure charles manson is enfp also.

probably not worth posting... but i have absolutely no idea. outwardly, he seems NT. also, i want to say xNTP... but not completely sure. he does not seem very 'free' or 'free-spirited.'

HOWEVER. the more i listen to him talk the more i think he is CONTROLLING the entire interview. He is controlling the pace, content, etc, even though he isn't the host.

so, i'll vote for ENTJ.

I think when people see someone who is admirable they want them to be their type. When people see someone who is less admirable.... you know. For example.... when michael jackson was proposed to be an INFP all the INFPs would disagree and say isfp or enfp or something like that. Merely because they wouldn't want to be associated with those OTHER characteristics. This is natural. Because you don't want people to get the wrong idea about your type. Likewise when one sees someone they admire then they want them to be their type because they want to be admired as well. But this doesn't mean it's right. And I disagree that people are better at recognizing their own type. In fact I find it to be the opposite. I find that people are much better at typing other people than people that are their own type. Why? Because of introversion and extroversion. Example: when I see Fe I am INSTANTLY conencted... because when I see ENFJs its almost like seeing me..... but it's not obvsiously. the reason why it looks that way is because my Fi identifies with their Fe so well. Fe is a direct expression of feeling. What I don't realize is that my Fi is NOT being expressed directly when talking to people in the outside world. It's being filtered through Ne.

I'm terrible at recognizing types, though I'm slightly better at identifying other INFP's, so from my experience anyway, I think that people recognize their own type easier. However, you could just be a lot smarter than me at picking out types.

On the thread topic, I've always seen Robert Downey Jr. as an ENTP, but I can definately see ENTJ as well, so I don't know. I don't think he's an ENFP at all.

yeah i don't type people like that....i see someones view on something and recognize it as fi...and then maybe i have a conversation with someone and feel that ne back and forth...sometimes someone shoves their te down my throat...or frustrates the hell out of me with their si...so for me it's usually only after knowing someone awhile and seeing how they relate to and view their world and experiences.

but obviously...it's much trickier with celebrities you don't really know.

I think that he's a enneagram 6 w/ a 7, entp
