So, Am I the only INTP that is seen as slow or not too smart by other people?
Or that feels like he/she is not so bright or maybe even stupid?

How should I know? By the way, since we are not currently discussing ponies, your summary is already invalid. You never the said the three threads had to be different.
I was actually sent from the future to warn you about the fate of this poor thread. Come to think of it...the exact same thing happened last time. History is repeating itself. Well...it seems I am stuck in a paradox. Yay.

What happens if a member gets sent to spam world? Do they...die? Is it like getting unplugged from the Matrix? Or is it like when that messenger guy from 300 gets kicked into the dark pit of doom?
Mentioning that we are not talking about ponies is inadvertently talking about ponies. How should I know? By the way, since we are not currently discussing ponies, your summary is already invalid.

Invalid again. The moustache retaliation is before the people stop giving a shit and ponies, ponies, ponies part. By moving us to that stage again, you have inevitably screwed up your timeline of events as you claim them to happen. Thus your argument is invalid.Mentioning that we are not talking about ponies is inadvertently talking about ponies.

Two in one bitch!
It's more of a guideline than an actual rule...Invalid again. The moustache retaliation is before the people stop giving a shit and ponies, ponies, ponies part. Actually my last post was the moustache retaliation, not giving a shit and ponies combined. And, since it contained ponies, it can be said to reside in the "ponies" section of the timeline anyway. I never stated that a pony post couldn't contain anything from the other stages.Invalid again. The moustache retaliation is before the people stop giving a shit and ponies, ponies, ponies part. That's because the life of a typical INTP thread usually doesn't have a person going back in time. And I'm afraid mentioning the word "ponies" does in fact constitute as talking of ponies. Also, even if we are now talking about ponies again, there was a period of time where after ponies where already mentioned, the topic was changed to the life of a typical INTP thread, and that discussion barely mentioned ponies, so your timeline failed to account for that, and is thus invalid.
I'm not sure I agree with this. Thinking and conceptualizing is actually great for the academic environment. I think INTP's can do quite well there.Plus, intelligence is such an umbrella term. INTPs are great at thinking. Conceptualizing. Not the most applicable talent though, so the school system makes it seem like you're not that smart. Bah.
Not to worry. Dancing with the Stars is on TV tonight in the background while they are three-way'ing on the phone with their girlfriends about that funny story in the checkout line in the supermarket, so they won't even see this anyway. No wonder we look so stupid to the ESFJ's.
Agreed to a certain extent. However, I've found that there are a statistically significant number of J's of several types who absolutely abhorr our penchant for poking holes in their premises or conclusions. But it's so much fun isn't it? Doesn't go over so well though...I think the academic environment is "safer" in that regard.
I disagree. We can definitely stay on topic without talking about ponies. Seriously.Summary of typical INTP thread:
OP puts forth legitimate topic of discussion > definition of discussion gets scrutinised to death > cue random funny quote post > moustache retaliation post > people stop giving a shit > ponies > ponies > ponies > ponies > spam world.
No wonder we look so stupid to the ESFJ's.

What I mean is, we're great at conceptualizing things, but that doesn't really mean it's there just because we think about it. We can think all about a subject, but that doesn't finish a project, or do well in a class debate, or argue your points well. It's always hard to exactly convey your thoughts. But our thoughts are so kickass.I'm not sure I agree with this. Thinking and conceptualizing is actually great for the academic environment. I think INTP's can do quite well there.
It's a work environment where social skills and the ability to read people and anticipate their actions and reactions, and provide them what they want and expect, is required that an INTP's logical skills start to fall short. I think the academic environment is "safer" in that regard.

I think the thoughts always feel truncated and incomplete when we are forced toward closure, and yet without closure we can never complete tasks and reach tangible goals. What I mean is, we're great at conceptualizing things, but that doesn't really mean it's there just because we think about it. I feel ya man....I FEEL YOUUUUPeople always jump to the most ridiculous conclusions about me.
Some thought I only read comic books(Although I must say, some comics are pretty fun to read. Mostly internet comics, though.), some thought all I had in my mind was 'a monkey with cymbals'... (Seriously?)
If only they knew how much was going on in my mind all the time.
Sure, I might be a little overwhelmed by a sudden conversation and find it hard to find the right words. Sure, I move kind of silly... Sure, I might break out in random songs and melodies or do a weird dance or make up a sketch with different voices out of nowhere when I'm bored... But I'm definitely not stupid. I know exactly who I am and how different people view me. I understand a lot of the world. I just don't feel like flooding everybody with my existence and opinions.
That's all I have to say about this. But yeah, I understand what OP means. Usually when people get to know me a little better they soon realize I can be a pretty fun and bright conversational partner/friend, though, luckily![]()
