I take different hobbies from time to time. Then I get bored and take other hobbies.
The only one that always sticks is watching movies, it's a permanent part of my life ever since I can remember. That, and to read.
And when I want to relax I do crafts, drawings, paper dolls, origami: that kind of artsy activities.

I like arts and crafts; origami; projects involving a lot of hot glue guns, burned fingers, exacto knives, and foam core board; drawing; looking at stuff on the internet; drinking way too many drinks that have aspartame in them; sitting in front of a fan lazily while waiting for the weather to get colder; playing the ukulele; playing the piano; shopping for stuff that I wish to acquire on the internet and stalker sketching (aka cafe sketching, but I prefer to call it stalker sketching).
And I'll usually pick up new hobbies every month or so. I've found that hobbies that you need to build up skills for over months or years instead of over a few days are usually more engaging.
I love origami as well. Here is some models I've folded. Flickr: ismetdai's Photostream
It is a great hobby with no social interactions required.

I don't have the patience for complicated origami anymore, so I content myself with making the smallest cranes possible. So far, I think my best was making one out of a piece of paper that was 3mm x 3 mm.

It also gives me an excuse not to participate in social situations. Can't you see I'm concentrating on my great miniature creation?

Wow. The only thing I can make is a simple crane, a cup, one of those fortune teller thingys, and a pirate hat.

Skill level = 0
You've got to try more complex models. Your skill won't improve by folding same simple models.

Oh I've tried. It ended like this
You can't expect to succeed at first try. I've had half finished models more than finished ones. Just try another model and you'll figure everything out with time. Patience is everything.

Good paper really helps as well. Thinner typically makes more complex folds easier, because otherwise a lot of paper ends up making spots bulky and it just messes things up. Computer paper is actually pretty decent for practicing, but for smaller things I've used anything from tissue paper, to tracing paper.

Observing others is a huge hobby of mine. My friends call it creepy, I call it very enjoyable. Singing, playing instruments, creating music, listening to music, etc.. Anything music related places me in a great mood, and games! Video games everywhere. I also enjoy listening to game plays as I surf the internet, and really enjoy reading about psychology related things.

Do you look like this when you observe?

I like reading books about alienated characters and I like to write shitty poetry. Lately I've also been into anagrams and palindromes. Hopefully one day I would like to create pages of palindromes, but a girl can only dream...

First, those models look well done.

I love origami, though I haven't done it as much lately. I was homeschooled until 4th grade, and I didn't interact with many people before than. Between that and the restrictions at the time on anything electronic, I did a lot of origami. One of my favorites, and one of the ones I have memorized, is Kawasaki's rose:

It's not too difficult to modify, and it tends to surprise people when I make it. (Granted, most of those are people who are surprised when they hear I like origami, need a description, and just think "folding paper.") I've also surprised some with an x-wing. I've tried making up my own models, but those usually didn't go well, though it was before I started really researching it. I should get back to that at some point.

I usually use computer paper for what I make.

I tend to latch onto hobbies where there is almost endless growth potential and many varying avenues of study. I love art photography because I can work for years at improving techniques, styles, subject matter, editing, etc. I also really enjoy playing board games with my SO and my brother. We mostly enjoy heavier, strategic games such as Lord of the Rings Risk, Scythe, Twilight Imperium, etc. I read continuously. My newest goal has been reading Tolkien. I am almost finished with Return of the King and have Silmarillion waiting for me.
