Who is the biggest attention seeker in the enneagram?

You can also answer in a diplomatic way, e.g.: "a lot of types that type themselves as 4 are attention whores".

Just don't ask me why I said that, i was giving an example... no its just my 7 side seeking attention.

Maybe I should covert and make it about you. Who is the slut of the enneagram?

If your thinking about this too much, it might be about you, here you can admit it.

2w3 and 3w2 probably, but other image types too, especially 4w3. 3w4 and 4w5 are probably more subtle but don't think heart triad can go without attention seeking of some sort.
7 too but for different reasons.

I was just thinking that another way a 7 does it is by pushing boundaries. We are habitual line steppers. lol. We overdo things. Push the boundaries in ideas, in people, in drugs, etc. We focus our energy on what limits us. Boundaries.

This is an interesting question and just something my point barely touches on, or maybe it does. I think it was Confucius who said that harsh punishments like violence don't work. Because they don't instill shame in people. I had the same theory myself. My parents disciplined me with violence. Not words. So I have less shame because of that. Maybe.

Spanking for example is said not to work. But work towards what end? Towards the end of controlling children. Spanking and violence just make people who cannot be controlled by shame basically. lol.

Freud said that guilt or shame was like a "garrison in a conquered city". It is with you everywhere. When nobody is watching it controls you.

But yes, everything is about shame. Your local news site. Anywhere. Let's lynch motherfuckers. Let's show their pictures and laugh at them.

I like to push boundaries but only when I feel its needed. I don't due it to mock peoples identity-belief relation. Most commonly I do it to show how social norms are off balance.

Quentin Tarantino is a 7 and a good example of what I am talking about. How over the top his movies are. How gratuitous. lol

He's dropping N bombs in a derogatory way in his own movies. Playing the character doing it. Which really annoys people like Spike Lee.

Trumps mask is immune to shame. NPD defense mechanisms help him achieve that. Some people have strong fights with shame. I know a lot of people that seem like they keep comparing themselves to others all the time and talk to themselves about how much symbolic value they produce in comparison to others.
Is this the primitive caveman type brought up in a technologically advanced society?

He is. I said that before. That guy is immune to shame. lol. The things he does and says would even embarrass me. I would hide under a rock. I would be pissed at all the people talking shit too.

I just heard a replay of a Trump line that made me lol. Talking about John McCain. Somebody said he is a war hero and Trump said his heroes are the guys who don't get caught. That cracked me up.

Charlie Sheen too. They tried to shame that guy into oblivion.

There was something I read in a graphology book once - it was about letter size and one note was you know "Large handwriting suggests a desire for attention, medium handwriting suggests a smaller desire for attention, VERY small handwriting also suggests a desire for attention that the person does not wish to reveal; false modesty".

Sounds like the 2 MO [or one of them. Funny because for a large period of time I wrote incredibly small, and...it was a talent I was noted for :wink:

3s I think aren't quite as attention-seeking as 2 or 7 or even 4 because they fear negative attention. Which everyone does in some sense but imo 3s take it most to heart and they shift between attention-seeking and attention-avoiding. 7 are probably the most pleased about being notorious.
4 attention-seeking seems a little different and I can't put my finger on it. The 4s I know are probably the people who could most accurately described 'attention whore' but I don't really understand it.
