Well then, there should be a thread for those 'exotic' fluffy feel good peoples. :proud:
The thread could be entitled: "Unusual enneagram for your type? Post here!"
Still, I doubt there's a real correlation between type and enneagram.
orly? then find me some ISFJ 8w7s, INTP 2w3s, ESTP 1w9s or ENFJ 5w6s. maybe you could find a few, but now look for an ISFJ 9, INTP 5, ESTP 7 or ENFJ 2....see how much easier it was?

I don't doubt that there are probably plenty of 8w7 ISFJs, 2w3 INTPs, 1w9 ESTPs, or 5w6 ENFJs. Maybe even as much as your other examples.

Of course, it's impossible to really know, isn't it? Forum samples aren't exactly reliable.

There are 6 billion people on the planet, and looads of different cultures, environments, etc. Perhaps the spectrum thus becomes an illusion.

well, I do, given the amount of people I've observed and typed. certain types just fit together better than others

you have to observe people rather than take their word for what their type is (which is usually wrong)

Well, these are mostly just generalizations. I've seen odd Ennea-/MBTI combos before. (INTJ 7w8 is the oddest I've seen so far.)
This typing actually makes a lot of sense if typing from two systems together were supposed to make 100% sense. But 7 is a planning type as is INTJ. I think Naranjo even uses the INTJ type as an anecdote to type 7. I wouldn't say it's odd at all.

I could see non-SX 2 working okay for INTP. INTP's can actually enjoy being of service to others in some non-conventional ways. I think Monemi(ESTP), a member here is a type 1 although maybe 1w2. It's likely a low proportion of say ENFJ 5's and ISFJ 8's exist but not definitely impossible and yeah, this is mostly gut feel :tongue: . An ENFJ that has had their privacy invaded time and time again from an early age may develop a fear around more invasive people and situations and may not look like a cookie cutter ENFJ. I think ENFJ 1 is an interesting combo personally - random.

I'm a special snowflake as a 6w7 ENTP :D
To be fair though, the most common Enneagram I have seen for ENTP is 7w6/7w8, so seven wing.

If I really wanted to be a special snowflake, I'd probably have to say I'm a 1 and I am definitely not one.

2 is not about "helping others", it's about PRIDE.

@monemi is a 7 imo, not sure if 7w6 or 7w8

yup, they exist. my argument is...they're not common.

Pride is the root cause. Making yourself indispensable to others is a consequence of pride by suppressing own needs and thinking you are more able to help others because you aren't displaying yourself as needy, it is inevitable 2's are other orientated in ways of pleasing them.
@monemi probably is a 7. And 1 fixed. I wouldn't rule out 6 atm as an option.

There is a distinct difference between impossible and unusual. That difference exists, you can't be close minded in this regard.

I found you an INTP 2w3. @qingdom
Not an ENFJ 5w6, but an ENFJ 5w4. @Robert2928
