This is really weird and it always happens to me. I've realized that kids love me!! IDK why like I'm not that sweet or pleasant or good looking or anything. But on many cases I find that animals and kids seem attracted to me like a magnet. Like during the summer I used to always go to the park during summer along with my brother and one of my friends. My brother and I were on the swings just talking when suddenly this little girls comes up to me and asks can you please play with me? The strange thing is that she didn't pay my brother any attention. (he's an istj) So I decided to play with her. And soon dozens of kids flocked towards me and asked if they could play, again not paying my brother or my friend any attention what so ever. I went to the park a couple of times, and before I knew it kids were following me around everywhere and some would even fight over who holds my hands. My brother got annoyed and wanted to leave the park early, but all the kids were against me leaving. I've never met a kid in my life who didn't immediately love me. Another example is that one of my friends has a little sister, and she follows me everywhere. Also, kids always call me their big best friend, and always brag to other kids that they know me :frustrating:. IDK why. Kids will naturally flock towards me and never my brother, even if I'm doing my homework, and he's doing his best to get the kid's attention. Many of my friends have told me that I have a way with kids even though I don't know what this means. Also, animals seem to be attracted to me. Whenever I pet them they fall asleep, even if they're lizards. When I met my friend's dog for the first time, she jumped on my lap and slept. Even though (according to my friend) she growls at other newcomers.

There was one more mysterious situation involving dogs. Once I was going to go on a walk with my family, when I see this HUGE husky with no owner. My mom (esfj), who is terrified of animals goes back home. There were many people on the streets and the dog paid no attention. However when the dog made eye contact with me, he rushed towards me, sprinting and almost ran into my house (my mom pulled me in and locked the doors).

Why is this? Is it just me or does it have to do with infpness? And if so what makes children so attracted to infps and not other types like my brother (istj)

Yes.. Kids, especially the really young ones, ALWAYS keep eye contact with me if they spot me. Whether I'm in the bus, on the streets, in the hospital.. they just look at me  Most of them smile at me too and i do smile back, but i can't help but feeling a bit weird ed out. Sometimes i think i still have this childish look in my eyes, this sense of wonder that they can relate to or something. Or maybe i just look weird, IDK. :kitteh:

I can't tell you how many times dogs have run up on me when i was with friends in the park.. Like seriously, i don't even say a word and they ALWAYS pick me for some reason. Which kind of sucks because i don't really like dogs :frustrating:

I think it's the way kids look at the world, with that epic sense of observation and wonder, that they can relate to. I have exactly the same look on my face, and I'm in my 20's.

I'd love to hear some other theories.

I believe that when we naturally give off our amazing spiritual energy, we are glowing and everyone/anyone can feel how immense and powerful it truly is, thus, drawing others to us. How could anyone not love such a genuine soul?!

Not kids, but teens. As long as they're not dicks I seem to get on with most people 13-20s pretty instinctively from what I've noticed provided they make the first move. I need to be approached first (so it's not like I'm friends with everyone at school for one thing .__. ) but I just kind of click with them without having to say very much, they apparently see something approachable in me? I tend to feel like part of me will never really grow past this age somehow, maybe it gets picked up on? I don't know, I really don't. Especially since I don't look very approachable or 'normal'.
Younger kids I don't get on with so well because they need amusing and I'm crap at amusing kids.

Animals, yes. They don't necessarily flock to me but I've always had a way with animals.

Yep all the time, kids and animals. With kids I truly see a soul just like mine only smaller bodies and less life experiences. I just try and treat them with kindness and respect, just like I would for a 20, 50, or 100 year old person. Animals are not human obviously, so you have to speak, act, behave and communicate on their wavelength. They understand the energy vibe and aura of a person and there intentions. We could learn a lot from them. Kids and animals lack the filter of life experiences that cloud our judgment to what is real and true, they are still connected to the whole and thus they become our teachers.

I love animals and they seem to be drawn to me, or in the case of wild animals, at least pretty tolerant. I have always though that animals could sense that I wasn't threatening and I don't have a nervous energy that can make animals uncomfortable. Dogs especially like me and I like to have a connection with animals. I've always been drawn to them as well and used to want to be a Vet.

Babies and really young kids love to stare at me... this long, unbroken stare. It's kind of uncomfortable, like they are waiting for me to do something? Something funny? Or hold them? Or say something? I'm not really a baby person. Little kids like to stare at me too. It seems to end around age 5 or 6, and they don't pay much attention to me anymore. I'm not sure (if anything) what babies and toddlers would be picking up on.

Children usually love me. Animals tend to be scared of me because I give off an anxious vibe around them. The exception is when I am playing a musical instrument. Animals are usually drawn to that.

Dogs, especially, can feel the energy vibe from humans. I love most dogs, as they love me, but I remember a few months ago when I was saying hello to a large husky that I had just met. It was freezing outside and I was shivering, uncontrollably, so I got nervous while petting the dog because I felt like it would pick up and confuse my shivering with fear and negative vibe. Such a lovely dog, I was excited to meet it, but it started barking at me and wouldn't stop, until I left.

Animals and kids tend to like me. Except now I am working with kids and I have to make them do things they don't want to do and they hate that. Other than that they do like me. Also, I've worked with them one on one and in a classroom setting, and they tend to like me more one on one, because it's less formal and I'm just being myself. If I have to support the teacher they don't like that as much.

Animals yes. Kids... kind of.

Anyone younger than pre-teen or so gives me this look: .____.; and they don't really talk to me. However, my ISTJ friend is AMAZING around kids. Kids LOVE her. They latch onto her far more than they do to me. I guess it's the kids who don't fit in for whatever reason that latch onto me because at this point in my life, I have no reason to judge them and I welcome them with open arms, even though I'm not very social. I remember what it's like to not be able to fit in, and I never had anyone older than me actually accept me, and I feel for kids like that and I want to be someone they can look up to.

There was actually one time when this 12 year old girl who's autistic came up to me one day like "Your name is Shawnee right?" "Uh. Yep!" "...You're really pretty! :D" and I was like "Wha...Thank you! :'D" and she said you're welcome and ran back to what she was doing. That warmed my heart and I stood up for that girl for the rest time I was in high school. I think I'm more likely to go the extra mile for people who need me as opposed to my ISTJ friend. It's the kids that really need someone that latch onto me, and I think they know I'll do what it takes to make sure they're okay and that they have someone to help them.

Lol, dogs try to follow me down the street and stuff. I feel like a pied piper of animals sometimes. The only problem is I don't know where to take them.

... I wonder how they know.

Kids are usually all like O.O

Then im like : P

Then they're all like : D

Then i grin conspiratorially before their parent notices

Dogs love me. My friend calls me The King Of Dogs because they always flock to me wherever I'm at. Cats don't get the message that I hate them so they kind of annoy me, and continue to piss me off by bugging me. Fish generally swim towards me alot.

Kids don't know what to make of me, they don't really talk to me. But I'm not around kids much and I'm pretty bad with kids/
