Comparing these two helped me realize I am ISFP. For example INFP would have to have some mechanical skills and would have to have some supervisory experience. I have neither. But I do love children like the ISFP and I’m bossy and I’m nerdy like them.

 

INFJ - The Counselor
INFJ's are observant, prone to feeling lonely, supportive of others' goals, loyal as a friend, may get lazy getting things done instead giving preference to just passively think about them, desires creative self-expression which can take form of creating art or writing stories, wishes to understand and to find understanding in others, susceptible to being anxious and unsure, will think 7 times before doing something once, quiet, can be activists, hero, great at interpreting nonverbal communication, can be great writers, charismatic, an amazing ability to deduce the inner workings of the mind, will and emotions of others, empathic, literally feel others pain, intrigued by poetic justice, prophetic, counselor, inner vision, dreamy sardonic eye when thinking, may vent to friends often, falls into immediate gratification over long term gratification, appear extroverted, cannot articulate their deepest feelings to those they love, withdraw periodically from even their loved ones, wants to be a party animal, loves to act out roles as if it is the personality that is the ESTP.


INFP - The Doctor/Nurse
INFP's are self assured, loyal, devoted to people and causes, laid-back, original, individualistic, sensitive, creative, inspirational, innocent, sense of awe and wonder, poets and verbal artists, strong value system, usually puts needs of others above their own, ability to see good in almost anyone or anything, puts those they love on a pedestool, extreme depth of feeling and passion that transcends what others are capable of, translates technical jargon to layman's terms, strong desire to bring goodwill to humanity, can imagine inanimate objects like stuffed animals as having emotions, needs to be seen and appreciated, hates routine, sees world through rose colored glasses, absent-minded, so lost in thought they may run into people or objects, switch from reality to fantasy, can make the mundane seem extraordinary, in love with love, wants ethical perfection, lazy at times


ENFP- The Comedian
The ENFP is zany, reporters, lots of charm, lots of affection in public, soft hearted, silly switch, unconventional, persuasive, can make strangers feel like best friends, hasty emotions, cycles between groups of friends, not very precise, bad about finishing a project, procrastinators.


ENFJ - The Teacher/ Coach
ENFJ's are one on one teachers of whatever they are passionate about, team players, natural coaches, natural actors in their ability to act out any personality type, intense, love others with actions, aware of the inner needs and desires of others, incapable of giving undivided attention, hard to achieve intimacy with others, powerful, can come up with strategies to motivate people, thin psychological boundaries, answer every interruption, neglect themselves, martyr mentality.


INTJ -The Mastermind/Scientist
INTJ's are self confident, pragmatic, system builders, direct, have to (and tend to) work hard at relationships, intuition can replace showing feelings, appear arrogant, perfectionists, anti-authority, awkward when it comes to love, obsessive about chosen interests, keep emotions on the inside so you will never really get to see it.


INTP - The Research Scientist
INTP's are precise but second guesses themselves, loves complex systems, logical, concentrated, analytical, easygoing, inflexible about values when forced, reserved, inclined to be socially awkward, excited about intellectual games, may unintentionally offend others, no desire to lead or follow, usually prefers to work alone, easily flustered when concentration is interrupted, aloof, detached, corrects others grammar, not always accurate, afraid of failure, strong need for competence, detached from the environment, assume others overlook details and take things out of context


ENTP -The Lawyer
The ENTP bonds suddenly or allows others to think they are bonding so the other person is more vulnerable, sense of humor, can laugh about anything, creative, curious, charming, visionary, inventive, likes to generate so many creative alternatives for improving just about any system, tackles challenges, loves to debate intellectual topics, plays devils advocate, plays one-up-man-ship, verbally quick, obsessed with minor details under attack of tension or pressure, capable of giving insult after insult, bad about finishing a project, not patient with people who are dumb on purpose, witty.


ENTJ - The Military General or Tribal Chief
ENTJ's are the general, decisive delegator, charming, salesman, flirt, icy gaze, argumentative at times, insensitive, melodramatic


ESFJ- The Caregiver or Nanny

The ESFJ is a rescuer, nurturing, caretaker, protector, very dependable, loves teasing, slapstick humor, enjoys being in charge, vocally decisive, delegates easily, finishes what they start, creates structure, has a special skill for bringing out the best in others, puts others needs above their own, extremely good at reading others and understanding their point of view, sees before others do what needs to be done, has a strong moral code but it is defined by the community that they live in, has a strong need to be liked and to be in control, gets a lot of their personal satisfaction from the happiness of others, value security and stability, peaceful, seeks approval, liberal givers on special occasions, have a hard time seeing or accepting a difficult truth about someone they care about,hyper vigilant, stern then merciful, easily wounded, avoids conflict, vexed. When wounded or afraid an ESFJ can become emotionally immature with fits of anger, interspersed with clinging. They can drop someone without ever acknowledging them again, however there is a little hope they could come back because, they make illogical decisions in haste only to later regret them.


ESTJ - The Supervisor
ESTJ's are supervisors, rule enforcers, servant, humorous, tough, joiners, matter of fact, regulate what's normal, conventional, abhors laziness.


ISTJ - The Inspector
ISTJ's are inspectors, devoted to duty, expects others to be punctual, tough, emotion makes them lose energy, tactless, keeps time honored traditions, not unyielding but firm, blunt, pragmatic, firm in beliefs and judgments.


ISFJ - The Loyalist
ISFJ's have a love of nostalgia, passionate about and dedicated to certain key things and people, slow to open up, can favor continuing with bad patterns for fear of change - even good change can be overwhelming, sensitive,fear driven, perfectionists, slow to trust, needing to feel like all the cards are on the table, slow to start learning a new thing or technique, dislikes expressing anger, give more than take, will go down with their friends and family if their they suffer punishment even if they are innocent, family oriented, can't say no, doormats, can't stand up for themselves, will not argue back, possessive, can't delegate, low profile, too conventional


ESTP- The Daredevil
ESTP's are thrill seekers, competitive, conquerors, constant activity, impulsive, admission of failure is a weakness to them, emotionally tough, doers, autonomous, responsible, lifelong learners, negotiators, executors, respectful of others and command respect.


ESFP - The Entertainer/ Actor/ Actress
ESFP's are entertainers, party animals, storytellers, witty, spiderweb talkers lost on tangents, new replaces old, too talkative, perceived as dumb


ISTP- The Mechanic
ISTP's are daredevil performers, masters of one liner, humorous, not performers, industrial vocations like mechanic usually but could bemechanics of physical movement or of maintaining a computer network , thick skinned, dormant then active frenzy, need lots of personal space, flexible, demands independence, excellent trouble shooters, great hand-eye coordination, perfectionist, closeminded,fiercesomely faithful to a select few friends, prone to grumpiness, easily annoyed with tedium, adept troubleshooter, extremely private


ISFP -The Creative Adventurer/ The Artist
ISFP's are trendsetters, hit and run compliments, charming, risky, they live out their dreams and help others do so, they cut and run if they feel dead inside, detached, aloof, conceal their feelings, street smart

Yep ISFP is my type most definitely because Im bossy like ENTJ which is the ISFPs subconscious type. The superego of the ISFP is the INTP and I used to think I was ENTP and now that makes sense too.

 

You will act like 3 other personality types but the ego, which for me is ISFP, is who you really are.
