Alright, this question is probably going to sound stupid to most of you, and an individual's personality is going to matter more than their MBTI type and yada yada...[insert typical disclaimer here]
Anyways. Yeah, I know that your relationship with someone doesn't really have that much to do with their MBTI, or yours. But it's just that....I've come across a lot of posts made by INFJs claiming how amazing their relationships with ENTPs are, and how they're almost always drawn to each other, how they get/compliment each other etc., and most ENTPs I've come across here have also expressed their fondness for INFJs in some form. It also seems like the INFJ/ENTP relationship often gets lauded as one of the best (along with INTJ/ENFP), based on what I've observed across these forums. It seems like most people agree with the idea that it's the 'perfect match'; in fact, I've yet to come across anyone who disagrees with the notion.
I'm leaning on INFJ as my type (though not 100% sure yet), and my relationships with the supposed ENTPs in my life (note supposed) have been mediocre at best. Yeah, we talk, but we only ever seem to breach the very surface levels in our conversations. We never seem to go deeper than that. In fact, one of them seem more inclined to share their ideas with my sensor friends instead (ESFP, ESFJ, ESTP). They definitely don't seek me out in crowds (unlike in most INFJ's experiences), and I don't feel myself drawn to them very much either. Sure I find them funny at times, but there isn't really anything else that draws me to them.
So...do you think that all INFJs (or at least, most) and ENTPs share a mutual attraction towards each other? Like so many people here claim they do? Are they drawn to each other, in your experience? Originally, I have never believed in this idea myself, but seeing all the claims made -- I really do have to wonder.
