I don't get people thinking I'm someone else, but I do get a lot of people who recognize me, and often even know my name, because I dress unusually enough to really stand out, I guess. I never have any clue who they are because I don't pay attention to people around me, so it can be kind of awkward.

Happen to me so many times. Many people say I look like their friends. Feels like many people have same face as me.

Yeah, I get this at times and I'm really confused by it. I ordered food at a food court once and the man at the cashier asked if I worked here, but I have never been at that place before. My friends always tell me that they "saw" me but it was actually just another person who looked like me. When I asked them about it, they said that the way they walked and moved was really similar to me; so maybe that's the reason why.
One day, I'd just like to meet these mysterious clones of mine...

:blushed: lol... happened to me last Tuesday. A charge nurse told me... "I know you! Didn't you used to work here at one time?" I told her no, I had never worked where she was working. It was weird she said that, I thought. Maybe this is her way of striking up a conversation? I don't know, but this happened just last week.

Other times in the past, I have had a few people come up to me in stores and call me by someone else's name. My guess, with my very poor memory, is this has happened 5 or 6 times.
I have another story... there was a road block on my way to work. I stopped my car right by the road guy with a flag. Had my window down so I could hear directions from the road crew, and the guy with the flag was carrying on a conversation with me like I was "Bernice". He thought I was his friend he knew. It was creepy. I told him so was not her.

I get this all the time. My wife thinks it's amazing. People constantly think they know me from somewhere. They say, "I've seen you before," or ask "Where do I know you from?". Sometimes people will just say, "Hey Jason/Tom/Clint/George/Mark how's it going?" I even got a hug from someone that thought he had been reunited with a long lost cousin. I feel like a minor mysterious celebrity. Does anyone else have this happen? Is this an INFP thing?
It happens to me too. Almost every time I go out in public someone says they have seen me before. People smile at me in passing like they recognise me. It’s a bit weird.

No, but I'd love for this to happen to me. I'd be like, "Hey I'm not Kyle, I'm Rob! I swear I have no clue who you are talking about." Walk a few steps away and pretend to hit a speed dial on my phone. "I need to talk to Jason Ortz, my handler, somebody has recognized me I need moved before it gets back to the family boss."

Must be writer's imagination, but I am fascinated by the witsec program, and up and starting over with a new identity.

But no, the only thing I ever got was several people would walk up to me and and say I looked like Kevin Bacon or sometimes Mark Wahlberg. I never saw it myself.

Lol. No. I

feel like it would be a good conversation starter though. Maybe I'll start using that and see what comes of it.

I don't think so--I mean, a few times maybe.

Weirdest time someone said something like that to me was when this woman was staring at me almost in disbelief like she saw a ghost, and then she explained..."I'm sorry...you reminded me of......me." I think also she explained--when she was younger, she looked like me. uuh loool She was much prettier than me as an older woman (I doubt I will look like her when I am her age--she was pretty), so I think she was putting herself down a bit, but it was weird. lol Very strange.

I was polite and stuff but like huh...she confused me for herself. lol Perhaps she had a long lost daughter or something she was forced to give up, and sometimes she looks at people and wonders if they are her daughter. It was very intense.

Constantly. I had a lady confuse me with her son. I attended a Bill Clinton speech and he kept making direct eye contact with me and the look he gave me was almost puzzled as if he knew me. Like you said almost a few times a week a stranger asks where I know them from or confuses me with someone else but not once have they been able to show me a picture of this person who they think I am. It's puzzling to me and I'm not the type to believe in coincidence. There's a reason for everything. My best guess currently, and I know it's bizarre, is that I was someone famous or well known in a past life. If someone has a better explanation I'm open to all ideas.

Some years back, when my mum was still around, i once chummed her to bingo. When leaving, some dude came up me put his arm on my shoulder and started chatting like we were long lost friends. After politely listening for a few minutes, i told him i don't think I'm who you think i am, he looked really perplexed. He said your so and so, saying a name. I'm like nah sorry mate that's not me... i think he thought i was winding him up at first , till my mum seeing his confusion too, said no that's not him, that's my boy. He apologized, saying, man you really look like a friend i used to know. He still looked confused when we left, my mum thought it was hilarious.
