I never initiate conversations unless i know somebody well. Ill even walk away to avoid having to conversate with somebody if i feel that theyre gonna want to talk to fill in the silence, or about something stupid, or want to me to express giving a shit.
Now if im somewhere where people are talking such as a party or somewhere where im not going to just walk away then id much rather have others do the talking while i can just sit n listen. Ill say something every now and then to let the speaker know im listening, but thats only if nobody else around is talking with him/her, in which case im more than happy to just let them have the entire conversation.
In school i was horrible, i would go most of the day without talking to anybody. Only few friends i hung out with and that would still only be during lunch because we didnt have the same classes. I wouldnt talk to anybody about homework etc because honestly i didnt/dont give a shit if they did or not. I really dont care about listening to other people, unless theres an idea involved or a somewhat intelligent topic, or a topic i had a general interest in. I dont want to hear what clothes people are wearing, whos banging who, or your brilliant theory as to why your toaster burns one side of toast but not the other.
Eh, typical I for ya Gotta love you Es, you fill in those quiet voids when i really dont want to talk, which is most of the time
