what are some of your favorite films? I just saw Shutter Island yesterday and it reminded me of some Hitchcock films. Then began the remembrance of countless movies I absolutely love.

For attention spans sake I'm ganna list a top 3 with a reason why I love it

1) Office Space, countless quotes and super funny.

2) District 9, Its the best alien I've seen.

3) Rear Window, incredibly interesting and thrilling.

I cant really do a top 3, but I needed to keep it short haha

And I'm sorry if this is a repost  But I want to see what you guys and gals like without digging. :proud:

Let me first tell you it's very hard to think of my top three favorite movies, but i'll give it a try

1) Bridget Jones Diary--I don't know why i love the movie but i do. oh, wait I'm narcissic and love watching a character that's similar to myself.:laughing:

2)Blue Sky--I love watching a crazy and needy character save the day in the end.

3) X-Men: The last stand-- There is no reason, except I just love the cartoon series, therefore I love the movie. But i felt the last movie was the most complete and best.

1. Avatar: Although this film is new.. it definitely hit some some soft spots within me. Films like this make me wish there was an alternate reality in which one can manifest in fully conscious.

2. The Notebook: I'm not too big on romance flicks. But the fact of the matter is.. the 1940's has to be my favorite decade as far as style is concerned (at least the way it is portrayed in film) and I cry every time I watch it.. I'll have to admit, I'm a bit sensitive..but so what??

3. The Waking Life: Although cartoonish, very serious and very deep. Lucid dreaming, which is one of my favorite things to do is the focal point here, but this film also touches on subjects such as the cosmos, individuality, consciousness, and existentialism.

My tastes in film varies, but I do think there is a common theme in the types of film I go gaga for.

I have trouble picking between these connected flicks, so I'll just list the groups.

1) The Kill Bills
2) The Dollars Trilogy (A Fistful of Dollars; For a Few Dollars More; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)
3) Zatoichi: the Blind Swordsman series

1. Lord Of The Rings trilogy (Symbols! Everywhere! Even every single character is a symbol!)

2. Dead Poets Society (Incredibly encouraging movie. Makes me want to be truly alive.)

3. The Shawshank Redemption (Doesn't matter where you are, you can live an extraordinary life.)

+ All Tim Burton's movies, The Prestige, Forrest Gump, Good Will Hunting, Burnt By The Sun...and others :)

1) Dead Poets Society. No movie gives me that much energy just by watching it. It's like an Energizer Battery for this ENFP's soul. Williams is SPECTACULAR.

2) Good Will Hunting. Great acting, love the wacky relationships between Daemon and Driver and again Robin Williams... what can I say. "It's not your fault." :D

3) The Matrix. When I first saw it it blew me away. It appealed to the tech/philosophy nerd in me in a strangely coherent way. Plus it has kung fu! :D

The Gladiator, Avatar, Lord of the Rings, A Beautiful Mind, Seven Samurais and so many more.

1. Donnie Darko, I am IN LOVE with this movie, I enjoy movies that have twists and turns and you have to pay deep attention to what is going on

2.The Butterfly Effect, again, same reason the twists and turns and the story was super intresting too. I like my mind being tested. (that's a little INTP of me xD)

3. Anything by Tim Burton or M. Night Shyamalan. Both men are freaking brilliant, if I had to pick a favorite for both, I am going to say that Alice in Wonderland will win me over with Tim Burton but right now it's Sweeney Todd as for M.Night The Village Hands down

(also, pretty much any musical excluding Seven Brides for Seven Brothers)

1. Donnie Darko, I am IN LOVE with this movie, I enjoy movies that have twists and turns and you have to pay deep attention to what is going on
Oh hells yes. Donnie Darko is magnificent...Especially the second to last scene when they wake up to Gary Jules' rendition of "Mad World." Probably one of the best movie scenes ever shot...Also the scene with "Head over Heels" by Tears for Fears when they introduce Donnie's high school.

But I digress.

My top 5:

1.) Top Gun
Pure fun. I always wanted to be a fighter pilot when I was young and Top Gun made it seem all fun and games. When I grew up I still love the pure fun of the movie.

2.) The Matrix
A movie all about authenticity, who you really are, and fighting an evil system whilst defending those who cannot defend themselves against a rules based system. Oh no, ENFPs wouldn't like THIS...

3.) American Beauty

All about being true to yourself. Really funny and a hero to cheer for. I love the tagline "LOOK DEEPER"

4.) Watchmen

Just really interesting. A lot going on and a lot of moral questions asked.

5.) 300

I have testosterone. Therefore I am a man. Therefore I love 300.

A personal list:

1. Cabaret (1972). I felt in love of that movie when I watched it as a child. Now in my forties, I still enjoy every time I revisit it.

2. Hannah and her sisters (1986)..."nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands" .

3. The postman (Il postinno) (1994)... This movie simply shaked my body. The whole love-mankind concentrated in a small village of Italy.

4. Blade Runner (1982). I can´t forget Sean Young eyes. Am I a replicant?....

5. One flew over the Cuckoo´s nest (1975) Watching this movie I get absorved by mad people for the rest of my life. I was 11 or 12 years old.

6. La guerre du feu (Quest for fire) (1982) . One of the first bricks to bulid my atheism.

7. The party (1968) . A genius. Have you ever seen Peter Sellers movies after smoking Marihuana? Just do it!!!

8. Schindler´s List (1993) . Dear Spielberg, Master, please stop fingering my inner feelings !!!!

9. Terms of endearment (1983). Don´t you feel just another actor/actress watching this movie?

10. Gattaca (1997) . I´m also a left-handed person. Nothing more to say.

11. My left food (1989) . A movie to realize that your own complaints as ENFP are often exaggerate.

12. The Piano (1993). Harvey Keitel, from guts.

Oh my god, I´m boring you!!! So sorry!!!

Regards,

David.

Oh man, I'll try to keep this short ^.^ this has the potential to get way out of hand...

* She's the Man: this movie has NEVER failed to make me laugh. Seriously. I don’t even know why. The humor is just really right on my wavelength and I think Amanda Bynes is just hilarious in it. (Plus: Channing Tatum, but that’s another story…)
* Seabiscuit: broken, beaten-down, big-hearted and courageous individuals uniting to overcome their obstacles in spite of all the odds stacked against them with plenty of epic setbacks and comebacks *good feelings* : )
* The Italian Job: the pace, the intricate plot, the banter, the pseudo-noble motives... ^.^
* The Butterfly Effect: one of those movies where I felt like it deeply impacted me for some reason…where you turn it off at the end and just sit there for a minute going, “0.0 whoa man. whoa.”
* The Hunger Games: yeahh I know...I feel really cliche for adding this one so soon : / but I can't help it... for some reason it really did strike a chord in me, so on the list it goes! ;P

...I might add more later...I'll hold back for now ;)

P.S. @varo revenge - psh totally not boring!! I'm taking down notes for new movie ideas for myself!! ;D

Before Sunrise

Everyone should watch this. It's beautiful. A french and an American talk briefly on a train, then decide to randomly jump off together in Vienna and spend the night walking around talking and sharing ideas about love, philosophy and the meaning of life... It's one big conversation and very real... and you just see them fall in love.... oh my god its just such a ENFP movie everyone go see it!!

Jeux d'enfants
@thiefaelos, totoro was watched by me every day as a kid yay! most people i talk to haven't seen the film and I believe a significant part of that group don't know what it is
That is a freaking crime man. Totoro is the bomb, and adorable to boot. Plus if you read the conspiracy theory behind it (though Miyazaki has denounced it as completely false and offensive) it gets super dark and gives a different view of it.

I'm a very strange kid with a warped up mind so excuse me if I appear scary by my choice of films.

1) Confessions (2010) - For some reason, I'm obsessed with psychological thrillers. I don't know if it's the complexity of the plots for the depth of the characters but I seriously love this movie. The soundtrack is one of the best things to have ever happened since Tom Hiddleston's birth. (Radiohead's song Last Flowers To The Hospital is in it) I would recommend this to anyone who feels like using their intuition.
2) Womb (2010) - This is a weird movie (trigger warning for genetic insest[?] and general mind fuckery) but the landscape in the background seems beautiful. The cinematography of the movie also helps. It might seem a little slow for some people but you should definitely give it a try.
3) Suicide Room (2011) - The movie itself seems to rush into things a bit too quickly but after the introduction of the main character and after he becomes isolated from everyone, the movie takes a pleasant turn. (as in interesting, not essentially positive) The movie also has a great soundtrack and if it doesn't meet up to your standards, at least you have a bunch of cool music to listen to.
