What personality type shares you in their lives for example likes to make you feel important/special? Someone who is not private and works well with an Esfj?

Hi, I am an ESFJ and I think that an ISFJ or ISTJ would suit me best. I use the MBTI to figure out why I do or don't get along well with certain types, and just realized a few days ago that people using the Se and Ti fuctions are annoying me the most XD
But of course this doesn't have to be the same thing for you! I think that in general, it helps to figure out what exactly you like in your friends/family members, and also what you can't stand.
I also once took an MBTI test where I answered "for my ideal partner" (like I would like him to behave in a certain situation, what he should think about this or that), and the result was ISFJ ;-) Maybe you can try this out?
But of course, we are not only our type, we all have values we want to share with a partner, and maybe hobbies too... But reflecting on what you want and what questions to ask to know whether someone is what you're looking for is a good start :)

I've heard isfj, istp, and isfp are supposed to be the "best" matches. I tried out a dating app briefly called "boo" that focused on personality types. They showed s which types were supposed to go well together... Accoring to them I frequently pick the wrong type! 😂

I think ESFJs would get along well with ISXJs. Both have strong Si, which I think ESFJs would appreciate. I've heard ESFJs also get along well with ISFPs, if you can handle the Se. I don’t know about romantically in particular, but in general it seems that Se and Si don't always click (and this is my case as an Se user), but it depends on the individual and whether you think opposites attract.

Also from what I've seem, ESFJs and ISTPs aren't exactly each others' favorite type. I think ISTP will think ESFJ (Fe dom) is too clingy, and ESFJ will think ISTP (Fe inf) is too detached. So maybe not ISTP, though this still depends on the individual.

^^^^yea, i guess we dont like abstract thinking much. But what if i spend time thinking about things esfjs love like....culture, religion, politics, love, spirtuality,...what if I love humor😘. What if I feel energetically connected to things happening on the opposite side of the world? What if i can pick up the energy in a room so well it is downright bizarre?

Im not academic or scholary, nor am I super ambitious but we do think abstractly...maybe not in depth science or math 😝

I checked the replies on the post and can conclude the next things out of it with my personal opinion attached to it.

ESFJ's are wonderful people with a great and warm hart. Feels the things strongly and need to take the thought s out of their hart. They are expressive and that s why extrovertedly needs someone to talk to about their feelings. Like what they like and be a good company sharing the experiences and the love.

Everyone is different and every individual should see by themselves what is needed the most for them in what they personally need. If we would just analyze the MBTI of Myer-Briggs ( i am thinking what is their mbti together) we can understand that the ESFJ would be a good match for the ISFP because it s in balance The E needs an I to fortify and the Judging needs Perspection to see the possibilities true the limitation of the judging perspective. The Inner part SF is same so they should understand each other well and bring the shield to the sword for a stronger relation or understanding.

What i saw in the MBTI s matches is mostly the same personality fits the match f.e. ENFJ suits ENFJ or ISFP suits ISFP or INFP with INFP etx

Relationships needs balance 50-50 and empower each other with comprehension, love and dedication and other factors as well. Still we are individuals with all an unique touch and need to look what is best for our needs. Mostly it s comprehension and true love.

Hope it gives a better understanding and view to the matter

What personality type would work well with ESFJs...?

Well recently I watched a socionics person explain that the MBTI compatibility is literally just guessing from the letters, so I'm on socionics side on this one.

I've never met any ISFPs before, but I have 2 INTP friends and 1 ENTP friend, and I go along veeeery well with them, which confirms socionics compatibility.

I have a lot of friends, and I go along well with most of them, but I feel most comfortable with xNTPs, I feel I can be myself around them and they'd understand me and I'd understand them... For example in this group chat of 6 I have along with an INTP, we like to talk about stuff and also debate, and in many discussions I can just understand the INTP and why he's saying things (he likes to troll) and if he's genuine or not while my INTJ friend sometimes have to ask me.

I admit I am a pretty weird kind of ESFJ... I don't really relate with most of ESFJs for some reason... I like to debate (like an ENTP)... I actually embrace my Ti, and I think it's cause I'm learning about cognitive functions and so I consciously put effort into using my Ti.
(I heard you develop your lower functions later on in life, and I'm still a teen, so I wonder if I've developed my Ti or if it's just an illusion in my head...?)

I like to debate on philosophy / worldviews with one INTP friend of mine, and I also like to debate my ESTJ friend on minute things (although I'm not that sure of his type, but he got ESTJ from a test), and it's always interesting debating with him cause he's literally a rock in debate, he doesn't back down.

In conclusion, I think xSFJs get a long with xNTPs well cause of all 4 functions shared. Talking about sharing the same functions, I think ISFJs would get a long great with me too, not sure if I ever met one though.

(Oh yeah, a lot of INTP women are surprisingly attractive for some reason (which makes me like them even more i guess haha))

Their duals INTP is their perfect match. Subtypes are important too. If a pair of duals have matching subtypes, they will be able to communicate well + become close to each other.
But if a pair of duals have incompatible subtypes, they will be able to communicate well with each other, but due to incompatible subtypes will have difficulty overcoming the first stage of duality and getting close to each other and hence remaining as distant acquaintances.

I don't like the INTP/ESFJ pairing. I'm an ambiverted ENTP and thought I was an INTP for many years. Churches are full of SJ types. I've been a worship leader at church for many years and I've always struggled to relate with any ESFJs. To them, I have all these radical ideas. I kind of get them, but they treat me as if I am some kind of alien.

An ESFJ might be great to make an INTP feel physically taken care of. The INTP will never feel like the ESFJ understands them. Even a very intelligent ESFJ will have difficulty connecting intellectually with an INTP, not because of the ESFJ's intelligence, but because INTP's tend to be very untraditional.

SJ + SJ pairings are really awesome. SJ + NT pairings really aren't.
