No, they're seperate systems. I can sorta understand why 5 is often correlated with Ti, but what's Ne-ish about 9 or Fe-ish about 4?

 

Fe is similar to 4s because they are in tune with artistic expression which is very emotional. Ne may not be like a 9 but that was my secret question…is Ne like a 9…maybe seeking all the options for peace.

You could argue all the numbers are correlated with Ne if it's just a matter of searching all the possibilities to achieve their specific desire.

 

No they do not correlate. I'm a 279 and an ENFP. There have been other type 2 ENFP. Even though 478 might be the most ENFP type, not all ENFPs are type 4, not all 2 are type ESFJ. Do you see the error in the thinking? There is no causality. Just because there are a lot of 7s that are ENFP does not mean 7s are tied to Ne or Se. correlation does not imply causation. This refers to the inability to legitimately deduce a cause-and-effect relationship between two events or variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them. You're are trying to draw a correlation to them but other data would suggest otherwise. I know plenty of ENFPs that are 4s and they don't have much Fe.

 

I’m an ENTP so I just brainstorm all possibilities with my Ne so it doesn’t mean I can’t deduce. It means I deduce all possibilities with my Ne and Ti before coming up with a theory. It was just a question…

 

Yes, there exist correlations.

As far the most rigorous surveys have been done (reddit self-reports, lol), ISFJs, ISTJs ,and 6s were observed to have a relationship. Can we make a nice guess that Si and 6 are related? I think so.

1 is the reformer, the leader. Of course it’s Ni! They see the future through visions and dreams and how to get from A to Z without all the process. They can know how to inspire change through butterfly like transformations with themselves, others, and systems. Who better to lead a reform? INTJ is the mastermind and INFJ are the visionaries. Really I don’t see an argument for any other cognitive function.
Alas, you do not even believe that this is a valid theory so why ask questions when you have already decided to reject the answers unless it’s just for sport because you’re bored.

 

Enneagram has a hard time being argued as static, so it’ll never be at the level of ‘Is this real?’ as MBTI but the correlations to functions are intriguing nonetheless.

According to this website, INFP and INFJ exhibit type 4 enneagram most often so that tells me it’s like Fi and Fe. I updated my theory that 4 mimics Fi. Also 2s are listed as F types so I updated that as well.

 

No, they don't really correlate unless when it comes to irrational functions (N/S).
