I think there's a very clear use for understanding how the different MBTI types behave while drunk. The whole nature of personality is that it is something that is innately as opposed to something that we adhere by due to either societal constructs or personal beliefs, and I think that being drunk is one of the most obvious cases where these constraints are released.
My hypothesis is that varying degrees of being drunk unleashes different layers of your mind. I think that while being mildly drunk is similar to being mildly stressed, in that we resort to our dominant functions the most. But thereafter, when an unhealthy level of intoxication has been reached, the inferior function, or the aspect of our psyche that we traditionally ignore the most, becomes the most apparent. So how this would theoretically manifest is that an ESFP would act like an unhealthy INTJ, for example.
I did a quick research online but found that there were no real discussion on this besides the occasional tumblr post that resembles more stereotyping rather than empirical evidence or any real theories. What are your experiences while under the influence? How do you think this can be generalized into a common trend, and does this contradict or support what I have outlined above?
Side note: I am quite intoxicated while writing this. Apologies for any inevitable typos or grammar errors.
