ISTJ's are not stereotypical right or left wing. They can be either depending on the overall nature of the culture of the land.

My wife's left-wing statist, but she has libertarian leanings now after several years with me (I'm anti-corporatist / social liberal / anarchist). She is 100% social liberal and an atheist. Si doesn't work like people think it does. It's not pre-ordained to be conservative and traditionalist for conservatism's sake. It's not like they aren't capable of evaluating political ideologies on their own merits and are just pulled by some magical internal force to be conservative

Si users tend to be conservative or liberal depending on their own personal experiences with those ideologies and political systems. They are most likely to be moderates and vote based on policy implications as opposed to ideology and belief.

Si itself has nothing to do with traditionalism for traditionalism's sake. When I met my wife, she was already liberal and she's actually a far left (socially at least) stand out in Central Florida where we're currently living in a conservative shithole.
