I feel chess and checkers relies heavily on Te over the other functions. So maybe a ExTJ or IxTJ.
I feel that these board games are all Te, as it involves the person to form a plan and analyze based on rules that are their. But I might be wrong.
Now since we're down to four MBTI types. So I have to consider Si vs Ni.
I feel that Ni has a advantage in chess over Si, as Si is not really a thinking type function. Plus Ni with it's future oriented approach and ability to sense patterns and relationships would definitely be useful in chess over Si. However I do believe that Si could have more advantage if the person is experienced and learned in the game.
So we're down to xNTJ.
But I don't know which one would be more of a advantage, a introvert or extrovert?
PS Don't talk about anybody in this chat. Also I recognize that other types may have their advantages as well, even in chess. But I just post what I believe is the MBTI types that are most likely to be best at chess.
