I don't agree that it is a vulnerable place, I would actually say it should be the most relaxed instinct in terms of approach. The dominant instinct is that which we seek to fulfill daily and thus is sensitive to feeling deprived or unsatisfied, as well as just insecure in general. The blind spot is something which can be vulnerable in the sense that it can blindside you unexpectedly. At least in my experience. I ignore my sp needs and then suddenly ive got another chronic injury to add to the list, due to my negligence. It is vulnerability due to incompetence.

My social instinct is something of a novelty for me. I enjoy dabbling in it and exploring it, but it doesn't bother me excessively if, for example, I notice that I am on the fringe of a group conversation.

I like hanging out with social doms because their excitement rubs off on me and I appreciate the social realm with a bit of their obsessiveness for a second. While the comings and goings of so-and-so doesnt interest me much normally, their viewing of it as important and exciting is something that I can enjoy vicariously. To some degree it is perhaps using the social as an aid to the sexual: the discussion is a way of getting closer to that person and being more intimate with them.
