Which EII Subtype am I? Am I an EII at all??

Backstory: I've taken the sociotype.com test twice, and gotten EII-2Ne and EII-3Ne respectively.
However, I've been doing my own research on socionics (being that I'm a total noob :p) and that has muddled things quite a bit. It seems like the Fi subtype of EII is more intuitive in the Jungian sense-- internally focused and introspective, unlike the more sociable Ne subtype. I would think that I'm more like the former. Also, isn't it uncommon for INFJs to be INFjs anyways?
I'm so inexperienced with the subject, and I would really appreciate your help c:

Personal concepts
1. What is beauty? What is love?
Beauty is what you see when you have a sudden appreciation of something about the world, or people, or words, or anything else, like you're viewing it for the very first time. Love is the feeling you get when you find something beautiful, and when you love something/someone you get that feeling over and over again.
2. What are your most important values?
Intellectual curiosity, respect for authority, maturity, tolerance/respect for others
3. Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
I'm Jewish, and my beliefs lean more towards the chassidic, orthodox view, though the traditions that I practice aren't nearly that strict. I've just kinda conformed to the religion I was raised on, though I do identify with that denomination's more personal, one-on-one relationship with G-d, as opposed to a religion that has more of a hierarchy. I've actually been a bit conflicted about my religious beliefs lately, not that I'm thinking of giving up spirituality anytime soon; it's just that I'm also interested in science and have been trying to strengthen my critical thinking skills, and finding a way that my religious beliefs and my belief in rationality can coexist has been on my mind a lot.
4. Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
War should be avoided when it is avoidable. Granted, there are times when it is very much necessary. I very much admire those who choose to go into military service, because I wouldn't go anywhere near it no matter what. Power is having control over people or over a situation, and is basically a drug in its level of addictiveness and harmfulness to those who overuse it. Unfortunately, it's far more legal.

Interests
5. What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
Almost anything, really. Personality, sports, religion, college/future, school, people, etc. I'm interested in behavioral/cognitive neuroscience mainly, but I also pursue personality psych, astrology, and writing as hobbies. I love neuroscience because the idea that a minuscule change in the chemistry of a person's brain can have a massive impact on their personality and behavior is really fascinating to me.
6. Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
Not particularly, though I wouldn't be averse to it. I'm definitely self-conscious of my body, and I feel awkward a lot when my body language seems sub-par.
7. What do you think of daily chores?
I put them off a lot. It's kind of a bad habit; luckily I don't have many chores to do! But it's definitely satisfying once I get around to them.
8. Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
I read Incognito by David Eagleman (neuroscience book c:) over the summer and loved it. I don't really have time to read books, and I'm more of a TV person than a movie person. I like a lot of action movies, Marvel stuff and the like. But again, I prefer TV; movies never stick with me.
9. What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
I cry a lot when I'm frustrated and/or indignant. I don't cry when I'm happy, but otherwise I'd say I cry quite a bit. I smile when things go to plan, when I beat a standard I've set for myself, when I feel included and enjoying a moment with others.
10. Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
This feeling usually comes in some sort of social situation-- whenever I'm with a group of friends and we're laughing or having a great conversation and I don't feel left out is when I most feel like I belong.

Evaluation & Behaviour
11. What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
Other people have said that I set unrealistic standards for myself, that I have a bit of a temper and that I'm too rigid and critical of others. I agree with all of that and also would add that I'm too anxious/paranoid and too concerned about what other people think.
12. What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
Other people have said that I'm a very hard worker, that I'm intelligent and easy to get along with. To go along with that, I'd also add that I'm self-disciplined, organized, introspective, focused, responsible, and, at times, funny.
13. In what areas of your life would you like help?
I'm not one to usually ask for help when I need it c; But I suppose I need help with overcoming this anxiety I have surrounding romance/relationships, and simply growing up and living in the real world.
14. Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
Occasionally, but it doesn't last long. It's generally caused by frustration or stress over something just getting to me, and I'll cry it out, talk it out, think it out, and get over it.

People & Interactions
15. What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
I like people who are intelligent, tolerant, mature, friendly, funny... I dislike people who are bigoted, unintelligent, immature, rude, stubborn (basically the opposite of the qualities I like). If you're looking for socionics types I get along with, I wouldn't know, but in terms of Myers-Briggs types I get along with pretty much everyone except for some xSTJs and some xSxPs.
16. How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
I'm interested in romance ideally, but I'm afraid of relationships and squeamish around any of their physical aspects, such as going out, kissing, etc etc. Qualities I like in a partner are intelligence, a sense of humor, confidence, open-mindedness, and being down to earth.
17. If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
I would be worried that my child would not be self-controlled enough and try alcohol, drugs, etc. I'd also be worried that my strictness towards that restraint would only drive my child to do it more. I also get irritated at people easily and I'm afraid I could lash out at my kid.
18. A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?
Internally, I'd be brewing up a response and on some level feel offended or wronged. Outwardly, I likely wouldn't say much or only express my thoughts diplomatically. However, if the issue was very personal to me, I'd debate it.
19. Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
I'll be the first to admit that I have something of a superiority complex, and I catch myself looking down on the rest of society at times. However, I do believe in basic human goodness. I think intolerance is a massive issue, and society needs to further its education, particularly in isolated areas, and eliminate the fear of minorities that many seem to have.
20. How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
I generally make friends with people of around the same intelligence level as me and people who, like myself, are friendly social floaters and don't belong to a particular clique. I'm more reserved around most of my friends, though around friends I've known the longest I can be most unrestrained, and I rarely get into fights with them.
21. How do you behave around strangers?
I'm usually very quiet around people I don't know, and can often fall back into my usual habit of keeping to myself.

Thanks in advance! c:

@piscesfish

You are clearly E1 is what I kept thinking to myself while reading... (I see your signature with your enneagram types only now, lol)

E1 will make you pretty EIIish over IEI so I can't really tell which one you are.

What's your problem with those xSTJ's and xSxP's?

In what ways does enneagram 1 make one more like an EII? Does this only apply to MBTI INFJs? Please elaborate :)

Depends on the individual. I really don't mean to generalize c: But the particular xSTJs that bother me are close-minded and conservative, and the SPs that I don't get along with as well just have completely different values than I do (Se and I don't get along haha)

Do you think you belong in the Delta quadra in general? For example, do you think that you could be any of the other types within that quadra?

And where do you fall under the Reinen dichotomies? Sociotype.com: Socionics Applied

#11 ·
I'm not sure! The descriptions are hard for me to grasp because I'm not used to thinking of type in terms of interaction with others. Like if I were to analyze a conversation with friends to see if I was Delta Quadra, I'd need to know what Quadra my friends were in, and so forth. I'm sorry if that doesn't help cx
I definitely couldn't be SLI or LSE-- I'm not a sensory person really. IEE maybe; it's the closest of the three. I'm not extroverted, though. I feel like it's wrong to address Socionics in terms of letter dichotomies... is that a wrong way of looking at it?

I looked up the dichotomies on WikiSocion, and based on the research I was able to do, this is what I identified with:
Farsighted
Yielding
Not sure for Static vs Dynamic
Not sure for Aristocrat vs Democrat... maybe more Aristocrat but not definitively
Strategic
Emotivist
Not sure for Positivist vs Negativist... maybe more Positivist but not definitively
Judicious
Not sure for Merry vs Serious
Process
Not sure for Asking vs Declaring... both have very strong attributes for me

I've taken a brief look, and you seem to have very prominent Si. Your disdain for sensory experiences actually further raises support for Si. I don't know if this makes you an Si-subtype though.

I was actually wondering if you were SLI, but you don't seem like a logic-oriented type. Delta quadra did seem quite apparent. I would guess EII is your type.

#14 ·
Thanks for taking a look :)
EII's subtypes are Fi and Ne, right? Do you have any idea about either one for me?
Is the Si that you saw more related to the concept of Si itself or the weak (Mobilizing) position of Si in EII's stacking? Noob question, sorry cx

I'd recommend not to focus on subtypes and begin with finding your main type and what you use cognitively for starters.
Not everybody buy into subtypes theory in the first place.
Also it is quite common not to have any subtype when both your base and creative functions are balanced in a way.

Can I make that any more obvious? Just find out your primary function. Creative too preferably. I always thought that I used Ne more than I actually do and suppresed Fi. Now I am torn not between NeFi and FiNe but between FiNe and FiSe! So much about that. One little thing that could help you:

Try noticing reinins(FiSe reinins fit me PERFECTLY!) and your super id elements. Eh, why do I suggest you that? Well, because if you find out your mobilising, that can be a great boon to your life, not only to some meaningless type. How to find out mobilising? Try to listen to yourself. And try to catch through which of elements you seek "help" . Through mobilising you seek someone who will help you through his creative which contains the same element. Hence, an EII would be constantly worried about the state of his body. It could manifest itself as a hypochondria, Munchausen's, excessive exercise regimen, extreme healthy food obsession etc. Or not as far but in those directions in general. Meanwhile an IEE would keep looking for someone to "normalise" him through Te. That's why you can spot Ne's acting random and even saying they're random! Even in spite of them having nothing truly random in ego(Ne is fancy, ok, and when mixed with Fi that produces idiosyncrasy, but not randomness). An ESI would keep on looking for (a victim-haha!) someone who will make him aware of timing and overall time awareness. Guess that is what Ni is about... . Anyhow, try that!

I do agree with Portia Spider-- I think you are an SEI.

This lovely lady is probably an SEI as well:

Poetic, soulful, deep, profound.

No shame in being an SEI. Embrace your awesomeitude!

I could be mistaken, of course. Simply my impression.

Okay, then, but what is it about Si that you guys find I fit?
I've always viewed Si as (and I'm sure to get shut down on this, but here goes X3):

- Always looking to the past, being past oriented
- Clinging to tradition and disfavoring the experimental
- Similarly, having a mold of what things "should be like" and not often changing that mold
- Needing a practical application for knowledge accumulation and not likely to have interest in research/learning just for learning's sake [though could be all sensors]
- Being heavily in tune with the sensory world; rarely ever "tunes out" and is good at managing physical resources

I am none of these... Do I just have the descriptions wrong or something? I understand that behavior does not equal cognition, but without basing everything on "vibe" (which I do constantly; I type 75% off vibe haha), how else do you phrase things?

Yes, I think you got Si backwards. Si is not about being past-oriented as much as Si is about seeking to reproduce past experiences and refining them according to an archetypal mold. Similarly, Si is not about being traditional as much as Si wards itself against dangerous options and possibilities that may corrode the personal meaning certain experiences have to them. Jung calls the Si dom as walking in a mythological world because of how detached the Si dom is from actual physical reality. Si types can have a mold of how "things should be like" but that can equally be applied to anyone, really. A lot of people have some quirk about them they don't like to change. This is only relevant to Si insofar that they may get attached to the deeper meaning a certain experience has to them, which may make them want to keep reproducing it in order to finetune and thus deepen it. Also, needing practical application for knowledge accumulation and not have an interest in research/learning for learning's sake got nothing to do with sensation. For example, as an NiTe type, I don't at all value learning for learning's sake. I think that's very typical of alpha quadra in general due to the way Ne with Ti works. Other quadras are not going to be as interested in learning for learning's sake and has nothing to do with sensation. Similarly, because I'm Te, I also want to know how to apply something I know or understand on the real world. It's related to Te, not sensation. Also, sensors are not at all necessarily heavily in tune with the sensory world; Jung describes the Si dom as the very opposite of it because their sensation is so removed from the object. Ability to managing physical resources is also more related to Te. All resource-management is Te-related.

The tl;dr of this is that you fit Te PoLR, but it doesn't mean you are not a sensor. Also, do you equal behavior with vibe? Because I don't. Si types though, definitely equal behavior with vibe.

Augusta's definition of Si is actually pretty good, I think, and is fairly in line with Jung's as well:

We view an object's internal state as the relationship between events that precondition one another. This element perceives information about how processes are reflected by one's internal state. This includes the sense of one's own condition and the sensations of people evoked by this interdependence. Interaction in space is nothing more than a reflection of one object in another. Objects reflect in other objects, evoking certain sensations in one another. Such an individual perceives external information in form of sensations evoked by ongoing events. For example, the sensation of pain is essentially the reflection within a person's mind of a relationship between his functioning body and a process occurring in some part of the body that impedes this functioning.
When this element of perception is in the leading position, the individual has the ability to change the qualities of the surrounding space and influence the sensations of people within it. He is able to avoid physical discomfort and protect others from it. This element is defined bby the ability to recreate previously experienced aesthetic sensations. An excellent example is Peter Paul Rubens, who created his paintings not from nature, but from his memory of once experienced aesthetic sensations. By paintings, he sought to evoke in the viewer certain aesthetic experiences. Such creativity constitutes the recreation of an object that is able to provide other people with aesthetic sensations that were intended by its creator. When an individual of this type is preparing something, he starts from envisioning all the associated qualities that the final product will have.
These people are able to distinguish previously experienced aesthetic sensations from new ones. They are able to "collect" and remember them. This also presupposes that such individuals are able to contra-position their sensations to those of others, the ability to contend for their fulfillment, and the ability to mold and perfect not only one's own aesthetic tastes and habits, but also those of others. We might say that such individuals have the ability to impose their understanding of aesthetics and comfortable life on other people.
And here's the link to Jung's definition of Si and the Si dom:

Ok. Here is what I think:

I highly doubt that you even have Fi. Fi would be immediately stricken with awe of baroque paintings. Fi highly values light/dark themes. Things like De Naachtwacht(posted pic by none other than Rembrandt) pr like Supper in Emaus by Carravaggio. Chiarooscuro yes? Plus from your questionnaire and the talk with the others you don't really seem Fi. No idea where you got that. I'll agree with them.

However! you aren't an EII. You are an IEI! NiFe. Hell, even your cog fncts stack suggests that! Only a Ni valuer would choose Picasso over Rembrandt. Or in other words: only a Se valuer would pick Rem over Pic. We are talking about clear picks, not "this looks slightly better". That's why I posted that. You can't use Se for aquat hence the sentence like "I see scissors-wtf?". But what if I asked you a question like "What would happen if we took scissors and combined them with...a lightsabre?". Can you imagine results? I am fairly certain you can. Furthermore, what everyone else was talking about SiFe kinda makes sense, but only in the meaning that you most likely do use Fe. Here's just a check:

If you could do any of the following, which one would you do:

a) Bring peace to the world
or
b) make certain your family is well looked for the rest of the life(maybe even next gen=

hm?

as for N vs S. I'd clearly put you in N pole. There's no doubt about that. Just tell me do you prefer to:

a) fantasize
or
b) look after yourself, others etc?

Finally, would you prefer an activity that:

a) led you to a state of higher understanding
or
b) improved your physical conditions?

Fell free to be as eloquent as needed.

I think I was always under the impression that Socionics elements were different than Jungian cognitive functions, which is why I identified with general EII descriptions. You guys have convinced me otherwise, and I thank you all for it c:
And yes, I've known I'm not a Sensor c; Not to knock my lovely helpers on this thread, but y'know...

1) A-- can't pass up world peace!
2) What do you mean by look after yourself? Like stay in the present? If so, I more often fantasize, for sure.
3) A (assuming my physical conditions weren't particularly lacking beforehand)

I tend to see a clear difference of general preferences and some elements indeed that differ for INFP and INFJ liking. Ni vs Ne as in limits, boundaries, or space wrapping leaves of connections, restriction vs. infinite patterns, unfinished and random pattern explosions, realistic but faceless human anatomy (which makes me uncomfortable) vs. emphasize on a face and a self with more abstract, warm contours even the lack of contours, hazy colors BUT the expression "Only a Ni valuer would choose Picasso over Rembrandt. @Ixim" seriously strikes me, I mean a little dictating, no? I see what you mean by intuition vs. sensor but specific Ni? (edit: well nevermind if you used it to refer intuition generically as I see you have pruned Fi down in another post hence were comparing Ni, also this makes my mind wander to places as whether artists have a relief / aspiration effect on their paintings so I'll just stop  and allow the thread go on in the direction it needs to go on - confession: I just happened to skim the last pages and pick on an unnecessary detail :p)

Ni is a function strongly linked to time. It's quite hard to differenciate Ni from Si, because they are both two functions that work from a certain level of abstraction.

Si doesn't take reality as it is, but creates sensory archetypes from these data. There is also the notion of confort, and Si-users are good at recreating those sensations. They are "traditionalists" (this word is bad), in the sense that they already have those archetypes in their mind, and they will tend to rely only on the previous subjectively good sensations.
On the contrary, Ne is expanding those possibilities, and tries to discover new potentials.

Ni is different, because focused on the meaning of things. "All the processes have their root in the past, and their consequence in the future". The way I understand this statement, is that if you focus on the meaning of something, you will try to understand his "roots", or origin. And all these processes will make sense. If you know in which direction the car is driving, and for what reason, you'll know where this car is going.

So are you very aware of the future? Have you got detailed long term plans? Can you predict things? Does processes over time make sense to you?

Do you feel disconnected from your body, and his internal states? Have you got a strong and dominant vision in your life, that you would dream of making it a reality?

I agree with others, I'm only doubting between SEI and IEI.

"Types that value Ne prefer to try out an opportunity rather than consider all possible ways in which it could not work out. They pick a few options and stick with them, in contrast to introverted intuition Ni types who pick one option and continue to doubt that option. "

Also, be careful of Ti Hidden Agenda lol.

Jk. lol. Probably should have done Question #s and A/B choices. Took me a bit to post this due to such.

1) Going to a new aquarium EII
2) Going to a new theme park IEI

1) Sometimes sporadically tell people something doesn't seem like the right thing to do IEI
2) Sometimes sporadically warn people of future consequences EII

1) A creative dress with some nice bangles, dangling earrings, and pumps, with made up hair IEI
2) A fit black dress with straightened hair and black heals EII
(this was a hard question to make up for #1, couldn't think of a good example in my head)

1) Often think of social interactions and dialogs EII
2) Often daydream about romantic tales and fantasies IEI

1) You believe that people being happy is the goal IEI
2) You believe people being righteous is the goal EII

1) You have all your finances planned out for the near future EII
2) You have money and judge your expenses based on moderation IEI

1) You love ice cream IEI
2) You love boiled shrimp EII

2) In public you usually look like you are emotionally retard EII

1) Your SO sometimes puts his dinger in your ear when you are spaced out EII
2) Your SO sometimes surprises you with romantic or lavish gifts IEI

1) Yes EII
2) No IEI
I should point out that there was also a hidden test to this test.

EII would have Ni'd to been like... wait a second... oh well, I'm more interested in Ne. Then would have taken all of it completely and waited with curiosity to see what it had to do with anything.
IEI would have Fi'd and been like... no... well maybe Fe.... and been disinterested with Ne.

You answered mostly IEI, while also IEI'ing the test itself.

You're IEI and most of the things you write/say in thread also strike me as INFP but with low P and a good bit of maturity.

NINJEE STAR! :th_o:

Gee, thanks for the anal probe Ti cretin. Think I'll buckle before you. TRY ME! I handle Ti's just fine(don't forget I'm an Se as well).

Edit: Sorry about that. But something tells me that you and me wouldn't exactly get together well. At all actually. Still, that doesn't mean there aren't others that wouldn't like your presence. piscesfish being one of them. If I am right, two of you should get along splendidly. @myst91: Please, can we go our seperate ways without talking like ever again? In peace preferably?
Lol.. did I shock you that much really? So nice to see you buckle that easily :p

Anal probe & Ti cretin HAHAH

Lol, not making any friends with that post cx I think at this point I've decided on IEI, but I'll still answer your question!

I think more challenging in the way a best friend is challenging. Constant prodding, teasing, etc. but in a way that only shows how close the pair is. I want to be 100% in sync with my future so, not meaning that we have identical personalities or whatnot, but more like we know each other inside and out and the relationship can be extremely casual and comfortable. I'm not really romantic in the traditional sense, but I very much want to get close to other people. And an intellectual challenge would be just as important; a mental rapport is probably one of the strongest characteristics of such a relationship.
No I'm not here to make any friends at all.

Wanna describe some of the challenging teasing?

How do I find hers? I don't mind it. I guess I'm more put off by what people say than how they say it. I was honestly far more angered by others earlier in the thread that started this whole "questioning the very nature of who I am" business; I'm an on-task person, and the self-doubt they put in my head drove me nuts. I KNOW that I am an intuitive.

But I personally don't mind the blunt tone :)
Hm didn't I question your type too? lol, or you mean I didn't question you were intuitive?

& Why dont you mind the tone?

@piscesfish
Not really putting anything out there, but at your age there are a lot of people your own age that are outright completely irresponsible. If you put an 18yr old 10%P in a group of only 80%P's, the 10%P will be their J. There is also OCD (probably one on the opposite end of that scale too) that, depending on questions asked, can cause a P to type as a J. Not saying you're a J or a P, just saying that these two things I mention do have the capability to type someone who is naturally a P as a J.

Yes, sorry! I've just considered this thread a wrap and figured not to waste either or our times beating a dead horse, yknow? c; But thanks for helping out!
