I don't really understand this stereotype. The traits between autism and intp may have a few similarities, but they are overall completely different. People with autism tend to prefer routine, while an Intp despises it and are usually more spontaneous and disorganized.
An autist tends to be hyper sensitive to certain noises or objects. That's not really an Intp trait.
People with autism aren't very good with sarcasm, playing devil's advocate or understanding metaphors, but these are things intps usually excel at.
Intps usually understand social cues, but they'd rather not participate in it, while an autist wouldn't understand social cues period.
I could go on.
Every time I talk about an Intp in a forum someone always brings up autism and it's kind of annoying.
I'm an Intp (or an entp) and I've taken the aspergers/autism test online several times and I've never gotten above 10 out of 50.
I even know an Isfj with autism.
