What type do you think she is?

ENTJ:
"In my relationships I'm never very good at saying how I feel and talking about it, even if they are and they try and bring it out with me."

"I have absolutely no intention of going into acting or making perfumes. ... I will stick to what I am good at and not spread myself thin and become mediocre at everything I do."

"I'm a big personality. I walk into a room, big and tall and loud."

Sounds like a Te dom to me...

That just sounds like Fi/Te. Fi users aren't exactly obvious about what they feel. I think she's just a mature ESFP.

Sometimes I don't see what is wrong with just doing what your good at it. For some artists, it is great to see them evolve and showcase all their various talents and abilities like Freddie Mercury for instance. Adele has a good voice and she sings what she sings well. She may not be a multi-instrumentalist or multi-talented artist but she has touched people with her songs, so that is good enough for me.'

She comes across as ENTJ.

ENTJ, I think. She describes her feelings in broad and relatable language, and has that love of metaphors that NJs often indulge in. Setting fire to the rain, turning tables, etc. It's old and bluesy, and I know a lot of ENTJs can be fairly classic in their music taste- the three I know IRL tend to have the same taste I do, which is about the same as hers.

@ebae I see. In Australia it seems that Sia is at #1 every other week that's all. I suppose Adele didn't really reach the public here as much. I'm not sure if that was a rhetorical question but here are some of Sia's awards.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Sia_Furler

Obviously Adele has more, but still, there is a lot there.

(Also I wasn't really referring to rewards and such because we all know that terrible singers and manufactured performers can end up with countless awards. I was more talking about the 'hype' which in Australia is 10x higher for Sia than Adele, but once again, Sia is Australian so that is fair enough.)

Edit: Just checked further and there are a ton of Aria's for Sia (Australian Grammy's equivalent), so I must have a nationally biased view! Haha. :)

Ok, very unsure about her type but here's some assorted thoughts:

She strikes me as a Si and Te user, but I could see xSFJ (probably ESFJ) as well.

I am leaning ISTJ, though. Maybe 2w1 or 6w7?

Focus of lyrics seems to be Si. I absolutely love this verse:

You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised
In a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
The music video seems quite Fi to me, but that doesn't mean all that much.

Quite Fi-ish, yes?

Close enough to start a war
All that I have is on the floor
God only knows what we're fighting for
All that I say, you always say more

I can't keep up with your turning tables
Under your thumb, I can't breathe

So I won't let you close enough to hurt me
No, I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you what you think you gave me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
To turning tables

Under haunted skies I see you oh
Where love is lost, your ghost is found
I braved a hundred storms to leave you
As hard as you try, no, I will never be knocked down
I can't keep up with your turning tables
Under your thumb, I can't breathe

So I won't let you close enough to hurt me, no
I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you, what you think you gave me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
Turning tables

Next time I'll be braver
I'll be my own savior
When the thunder calls for me
Next time I'll be braver
I'll be my own savior
Standing on my own two feet

I won't let you close enough to hurt me, no
I won't ask you, you to just desert me
I can't give you, what you think you gave me
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables
To turning tables
Turning tables, yeah
Turning oh

YES!! Adele is an ISTJ!

ENTJ? What intuition???? Anyone can write in metaphors or w/e... and in fact, I think Si does a better job of employing flowery language. All those sensitivities and nuances and perfectly capturing the personal *feel* of a moment or experience or relationship or [and so on]... that is so Si it hurts. I really need to look for the intuitive arguments because I would have never once thought she were an ENTJ unless it was suggested, like now.

An aged photograph, the naturally filtered colours into browns and neutrals, the wear and the writing in black marker, and the faces of these people - that is what Adele's music reminds me of, and that is Si's entire venue.

Ni music tends to get... nowhere. I mean, Si will paint a lovely beautiful picture for you to appreciate, and so is constructive in finery, but the Ni influenced music that I can recall (from doms and tertiaries) just... goes no place. What are they getting at? You have an idea, and it may all be there in writing... but coming together? It is like seeing a figure half through sheer curtains. Something of it seems missing. You the listener have to come a distance to meet it, maybe, if you can.

Adele writes vastly personal music and her music evokes certain emotions, certain sentiments. I may have thought her an ESTJ, but I think she is actually a really outgoing or vibrant ISTJ. Her entire persona, produce, and method all details Si, Te, and Fi.

Edit! Actually, the only ENTJ in music I can recall is... John Mayer I think? It has been a while but his musical process strikes me as more Ni aux: he does not really just do his own thing, intensely and personally, but rather - from what I recall - spoke of how it was this big thing. He did not want to get caught up in pop culture I think? And sort of broke down the entire conceptual mechanics to find what worked for him, and integrated himself into that. That is more Te-Ni to me, a conceptual method that, while capable of being equally quirky and eccentric, is more impersonal.

@ebae

No not at all, I don't think I ever said that Sia was better than Adele or that Adele was untalented? That wasn't even part of the discussion. I think Adele is great and I love her new song! All I meant to say was that Sia is more popular in Australia than Adele. So when I saw your post saying that Sia was underrated, it confused me, because I had never seen her that way. Hope that cleared it up.

ExFP, probably ESFP. I see way more Fi and really no Fe. I love how candid she is.

And I'm glad she won over Beyonce. Beyonce is the most overrated artist. She'll win if she actually makes a song that is listenable instead of one that tries way too hard to be "artistic".
