I took this test quite recently and since that I am wondering about correlation to MBTI or other personality systems. I was able to find some study about that+VIA+MBTI, but the research sample seemed too small to me and I found it a bit of incomplete and questionable at some parts. So I would be interested to see if there is sime correlation between grpups of strengths (Relationship Building, Influencing...) and four basic temperament in general, but more appropriate would be probable to attache individeal strenghts to preffered functions. It would be probably possible to make profilic strengths for each type, but there also would be a lot of variety inside each of them...

All of my top-5 strenghts were in area of Strategical Thinking, which was quite surprising for me. Even that cosultant told me it's not very usuall to have all tallents just from one group without at least one other category mixed in. Considering the fact I am an female... I't made me feel a bit autistic 😉

http://sourcesofinsight.com/a-language-for-strengths/

Based on this source I would say, theoretically, in first and second quadrant should be connected to extraverted functions (since it's basically about bonding with others or influencing them) and the third and fourth quadrant would be about introverted functions (concerned with motivation, energy and taking in of information), however I can see some "strengths" to fall under opposite category (eg. people who have connectedness in their Top 5 would be probably also higher in Ne)...

Anyone has some idea?

As far I have this:

Quadrant I. Fi x Fe
Quadrant II. Te x Se
Quadrant III: Si x Fi x Ti
Quadrant IV: Ti x Si x Ni x Ne

... which doesn't make much sense. Yet :smileys-sunbathing-

These are those which seems obvious to me:

Ni: Futuristic, Intellection (could be also Ti)
Ne: Connectedness, Ideation
Ti: Analytical, Learner
Te: Achiever, Command
Si: Deliberative, Context, Imput (could be also Ti)
Se: Adaptability
Fi: Individualization, Belief
Fe: Harmony, Includer, Relator

Some of them, on the other hand, seems not to be connected (e.g. communication)

Your ideas? Anyone? ;-)

I've taken this. I got:

1. Adaptability People who are especially talented in the Adaptability theme prefer to “go with the flow.” They tend to be “now” people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.
2. Deliberative People who are especially talented in the Deliberative theme are best described by the serious care they take in making decisions or choices. They anticipate the obstacles.
3. Strategic People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
4. Analytical People who are especially talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.
5. Competition People who are especially talented in the Competition theme measure their progress against the performance of others. They strive to win first place and revel in contests.

If really never thought about how it relates to Jungian functions...

I looked into this a while back. I'm not surprised by my majority of Relationship Building strengths, as those seem to be quite in line with strong F/Fi and so/sx. Strategic Thinking seems reasonably I and e6 as well. As for Executing - it seems like it doesn't really correlate with anything in my personality typing (maybe Responsibility/e6) - but it does explain why I thought I might be e3w4 or ENFP/xxFJ for a bit. I'll leave some notes below regarding my thoughts on correlations...

My top results, grouped by domain, numbered by overall strength -

Relationship Building
1. Connectedness - seeing/taking responsibility for the larger web of existence (NF/social)
2. Relator - intentional deepening of relationships (F/sx)
4. Empathy - intuitive understanding of feelings/emotions/choices (F)
5. Developer - Relationship Building - seeing/encouraging growth in others (F)
7. Positivity - optimism/humor (w7)
10. Harmony - minimization of conflict (F/I/social)

Executing
3. Achiever - constant pursuit of accomplishments (Te, I guess - you'd think J/e3)
6. Arranger - optimizing variables (Ne/Te? w7?)
9. Responsibility - ownership/following through (e6)

Strategic Thinking
8. Intellection - need for constant mental activity (I/e6)

As an aside - I feel like strength in aesthetics was totally passed over in the Clifton scheme...

I once took the test on their website... about 5 years ago... I happened to find one of the books at work.

My results were:

1. Context (Strategic thinking)
2. Strategic (Strategic thinking)
3. Competition (Influencing)
4. Responsibility (Executing)
5. Futuristic (Strategic thinking)

Although, I don't think I would get the same result now. Some things have changed. I think I'll try taking it again.

My results were: Analytical, Input, Learner, Command, and Restorative.

Anyone has some idea?
Here's a link to the Clifton StrengthsFinder Technical Report
They compare their data to OCEAN/CANOE which has some loose association with mbti/cognitive functions. The below tables are from the Technical Report, but I recommend actually looking at it. Additional tables talk about frequency of themes appearing together and clusters/linkage of traits. It's interesting stuff!
