I absolutely see ENTP in Dave Asprey. He's a Nor-Cal investory/tech VP who has been playing around with 'bio-hacking' and optimizing his nutrition, health and self-wellness for over 15 years.

Very much like an older Tim Ferriss. Dave is definitely not ESTP because he never focuses on taste or sensual responses to his diet or activities, it's all focused on being mentally alert, being able to multi-task (he has several businesses and a blog) and being pretty indestructible.

Joe is very smart as well, but he focuses on more humane issues and how causes affect him (Fi). He uses Si and I wouldn't say he's an ESTP either.

What do you guys think?

l've always really, really liked something about Joe Rogan, however that doesn't mean he's not ESTP.

l think his roles on different shows like Fear Factor may have influenced that typing. l thought he was a very odd choice for the show, i seemed random and was probably last minute.

l really related to his old stand up.

Dave is a confirmed ENTP. I intuitively thought the same thing, but then wondered if he was just a well-developed INTP, so I emailed him and he confirmed he is indeed an ENTP :)

I am posting this for others who might be asking the same question and to ensure there will be no speculating and inefficient wasting of time so that those who ask the question can get straight to the correct facts with little to no doubt and move on :)

(That is, with my INTP-ness I tend to spend much too much time speculating and diversifying when I should be living the INTJ way)

Joe Rogan definitely uses Te at some level- Te generalises logic to try to come up with all-encompassing frameworks while Ti is more selective and biased (James Bond - Ti-sec (ESTP) compared to Te-dom "M" (ESTJ), one of my easy go-to examples of Ti vs Te). His moral judgements are always more adjustable though and he is not remotely hesitant to go against the general moral grain, which falls in line with the aligning idea that he uses Fi. Ti users are rarely people to express their logical judgements in group situations on a regular basis, while that is precisely what Te users do, and precisely what Rogan does.

By picking things apart with the way he jumps between issues and pushes issues outside the box, he seems most likely an ENFP with strong Te- hardly uncommon among male ENFPs. His intuitive perceptions are smart but often lack depth- which is also an ENFP trait (I'd know- I'm an ENFP myself- I can achieve a moderate grasp of a situation faster than anyone you've ever known, but struggle with over-time depth).
