*insert witty sophisticated intro* Hello all, ENTJ 3w4 here!

Not really new to MBTI, though I wouldn't call myself an expert...yet. I look forward to learning some new things about the Enneagram and hopefully making a few new friends (or nemeses) here! After several tests, I confirmed that I was an ENTJ (the thought of being one originally intimidated me...)

I'm currently a Sociology and Classics student, with an intense passion for political science and Latin. I work as both a designer and English tutor; when not 1000% invested in my work and studies, I usually procrastinate with a cup of tea and healthy dose of memes. Although I get along with almost any type (except ESFP), I mostly find myself most comfortable around Intuitive and Thinker types. My closest friends consist of an INTJ, ISTJ, ENTP and ENFP. While an INFP occasionally wanders in and out of this circle, they are never permanent.

I've actually never met an ENTJ, although I know many ENFJ's and ESTJ's. And, so that this conversation does not confine itself to small talk... Have you ever met an ENTJ, and if so how would you describe them?

Hi, from a fellow 3w4

They're human too, like you! ENTJ 3w4s I've known are usually intelligent, hyper ambitious, somewhat creative, unexpectedly philosophical and relatively fashionable. Oh and sometimes they're easy to spook - I don't know why and I don't know if this is limited to my data set. Tert Se can sometimes be indulgent in inappropriate ways, but I try to avoid them when they go down that road. Some of them need therapy, but then again, who doesn't need that? :bwink:

Hi! I personally agree with that description, particularly when it comes to being hyper ambitious. So many things to achieve all at once, so little time. I think this is more a Type 3 thing rather than ENTJ thing. It makes me constantly stressed out about how to effectively meet a goal, and I wonder if this is something that most 3w4s share.

Being unexpectedly philosophical probably made me switch from Peace Studies to Classics as my other major...

I'm curious. How will this translate to potential careers? I assume you have a plan, even if it's not necessarily 100% set in stone.

You know what's really odd? An ENTJ 3w4 I knew also majored in sociology, studied Latin and tutored English... and then went down a completely different path to make money (which he makes a lot of). You have an older clone!!!

Haha, that's amazing! I would love to meet this older clone for advice. I have been planning out my educational career ever since originally getting a design diploma...and hating the job. Design clients are stories for Halloween.

My original goal was to work with the United Nations in the education sector, but I frankly hate their practices and figured I could never be happy around stubborn policymakers. At this point, I'd like to be a researcher or professor one day. As a backup plan, I believe trust funds and writing motivational self-help books are always good moneymaking strategies.

And no one INTJ 3W4.

That not logic.
