ISFP type 5? Really?

hi everyone,
I'm an ISFP and apparently a type 5, although I feel like I'm in this little limbo where I also identify with being a 4 and a 9. In fact, I dont' feel like any of the Enneagram type descriptions really 'clicked' with me instantly like when I found out I was ISFP (I was like, 'woah! did these people install CCTV cameras in my mind?', yeah, this didn't happen with Enneagram) but 5 fits me a little better than 9 or 4.

Question is, do you think this is reasonable? Do you think it's far-fetched? It seems like it's rare for ISFPs to be 5s.

I think instead of wondering how far-fetched it is, it's probably better to decide which type fits you best. Something that worked for me in distinguishing between these three is considering whether I am more optimistic, reactive, or competent. In other words, do you for the most part have a ' life is good' sort of mentality? Or do you need to express your feelings to someone else and have them respond in turn? Or do you need to feel like you know what you're doing/what you're talking about before you speak or act?

Hope this helps.

I'm under the impression that any personality type can correspond to any enneagram type so it certainly isn't far-fetched. But anyway, not really sure how to help you figure out which type you are as I also had trouble typing myself (I kept going back and forth between 4,5, and 9). I guess you could compare posts by other type 5's and see how well you relate.
