My sense of humor is based on irony, word play, often dry in delivery. I'd either go for a witty one-liner or start a long story. These stories are a mixture of facts, observations, references and non-sense/absurdities/ridicule. I highly value contrast and bipolarity in humor. I also find observational humor amusing, though I dislike demeaning/belittling/scornful jokes. I will laugh at stereotypes, situations and ideas, but I'll strive to never make fun of somebody, especially their physical or mental disabilities.
In humor (and everything else, for that matter...) I'd go for quality over quantity. I will appreciate a sincere, thoughful and funny remark more than a long, try-hard attempt at making fun of something. Fake/forced laughter is not my cup of tea.
My favorite comedy shows are Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, The Office (the American take, still haven't watched the English one), Reno 911, most old MADtv sketches... You can say I'm a "sitcom guy" - I'll find almost all sitcoms funny, though the former ones are in a league of their own. Other shows I find funny are Family Guy, Ugly Americans, Drawn Together, King of Queens, Married with Children, Everybody Loves Raymond, Perfect Strangers...
I don't think I have a least favorite comedy show. As a non-drinker, I would not watch shows that emphasize or depict reccuring/heavy drinking, though I can allow the occasional drink IF it's necessary for the plot and not just thrown in like it's no big deal to get drunk every other day.
My problem with Friends is that it's too emotional-based and has those "moral of the story" moments where the characters would learn from a mistake and make it a part of an episode, with the cheesy "I'm-here-for-you hug". This is why I put Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm on top of my favorite sitcoms list - no unnecessary heartwarming moments. Typical ISTJ, if I might say
