Male ENFPs (fictional characters or otherwise)

So, it's been brought up before how as much as I love a good Disney princess there's more examples of ENFPs, particularly for males that never get mentioned... I know there's a thousand topics like this but perhaps less focusing on the guys? So let's train ourselves into finding (perhaps the less obvious) male ENFPs?

Let's start:

Newt from Pacific Rim (probably my favourite of the list)
JD from Scrubs
The Genie from Aladdin
Barry Allen, the Flash

I mean that gif alone explains what I do in my free time.

And, huh, INTJs are meant to weebs now? :p I'm sure there are many ENFPs in anime.

Matsuda, Death Note.

Is it still taboo to bring up Naruto when talking about anime?

Spain, Hetalia.

Luffy, One Piece, I'll admit though I never really got into One Piece enough to type him properly.

Kaoru, Ouran highschool Host Club (yes I watched the shoujo anime...) The twins are ENTP and ENFP, I'm sure you can tell which one is the ENFP.

I'm sure there are more...

Jake, fun guy, always good.

I was waiting for Will to show his face here. I was debating putting him the first post but... maybe my mind trailed off before I hit send?

And yes! Some evil ENFPs! Bring it! I live for these characters too! Something about dark ENFPs just allures me.

I've watched some of his interviews and I believe Timothee Chalamet may be an ENFP.

Oh yes, he seems both awkward in the limelight and yet eager to embrace it. It's refereshing to see someone who hasn't yet been moulded into becoming the cookie cutter movie star. Maybe that'll change? If he's an ENFP that'll be a true test for him.

Ah, that’s such a shame. Let me know what you think once you’ve had the opportunity to see it! And yes -it was fantastic. I’m still thinking about it after seeing it nearly a week ago.

(Sorry for derailing your thread!)

Apologies for derailing your thread.

But I really liked the movie. Actually in my heart I have said three "really" but I only typed one.
Moreover I read the book directly after I finished the movie. On kindle first. Then after I finished the book I bought a hard-copy because this book I want to have with me wherever I move to.

I was watching a old video of Matchbox 20 the other day”Push” and I thought to myself how many front men of bands in the 90’s or other times are ENFPs... like a bunch, IMO. Definitely Matchbox 20, no other choice.
I thought Elbow is ENFJ because his presence carries so far and he is able to create such a mood, but his lyrics seem ENFP or INFP to me, so... I’m strongly considering INFP... you know how they go full blast, flip a switch, 180 degrees Ne when performing anything (like many INFP comedians do).
let’s see GooGooDolls, there’s a solid ENFP
Mumford... ? I mean, yes, why not?
Lots of front men. Isn’t Paul McCartney? Of course he is, right? Unless he’s INFP...wasn’t John Lennon INFP (yes of course, right? unless are people saying INFJ?)
Savage Garden for sure ENFP
If I just start to brainstorm on it....
and then there’s so many actors who are.
LOVE our ENFP men!!!

Alesha;40771562 Lots of front men. Isn’t Paul McCartney? Of course he is said:
I think Paul is a very extroverted isfp ( I adore Paul, he's my favorite Beatle)

- John Lennon enfp imho- he's uses fi in an auxiliary position. In interviews he uses a massive amount of Te and when depress or at his worst he gets trapped in the past and neglect his sense- hence I think enfp - also when the Beatle first started he was the leader of the band and enjoyed the spotlight- moment he's bored it's easy for him to let go and emerge into something new- believe PerC were debating upon the Beatles type for a good few years

you guys think Logic (the rapper) is an ENFP?

Guillermo Del Toro? Although the internet favours him as an INFP, which he may be.

I've been watching various interviews for the shape of water and I've been following his work since the Orphanage. I love his work, his creature designs, true inspiration.

Anyway, I feel like Ne is written all over his work and when actors talk about his directing style he adapts to each one, giving a personal style and flair to his technique depending on the personality he's working with. That's Ne-Fi and strong empathy at work and at its best.

Edit; Upon extra deliberation I can see more Si than Te in his work, does anyone else think so? I personally think that as an ENFP we are more likely to apply Te to our creative ideas by trying to 'ground' them. So whilst I would create a fantasy world or story I would apply Te-like 'rules' to the world to add a layer of realism to it (like how Star-Trek attempts to add some kind of pseudo-science to make their world believable). But Del Toro doesn't care about this. In fact he utilises Si in a similar way but not to 'ground' it as such, his stories seems very much untethered flights of fancy which don't care about proving themselves and the way in which he captivates and adds layers to his stories is through familiarity. He plays on stories from our childhood, small Grimm's fairytale techniques to immerse us which I think is a more Si trait?

Think enfp is a possibility- I find that a lot of xnfp share similar traits. I engaged in fi-si when I write plays and my Te is rarely in check unless I'm recalling historical events or timeline which I avoid bringing into play writing .
His films are very Ne oriented- I've only seen 3 - devil's backbone , pan labyrinth and hellboy. I've meaning to watch Shape of Water. I recalled reading an interview where he said he hates structure in his stories - unsure if that's low or inferior Te.

Speaking of enfp directors : Michael Gondry [emoji813]️

Barry Allen, the Flash
Really? I saw him as INTP at first and could see him as ENTP, but I don't really see his Fi. He always seems to think about his own reasons and the group morals instead of the other way around. People don't have to do what he says, he just wants them to believe in the team and in what they're trying to do. The methods don't even interest him too much. He can come off as ENFP because of his manner, but it seems more like social awkwardness (from inferior Fe) to me than anything else.

I've seen Phoebe from Friends typed as ENFP, although I haven't really tried to verify/disprove that one yet.

INTP? Hm, I can see your argument for Fe, and that's fair, however inferior Fe? I can't agree with. Social awkwardness isn't a consequence of inferior feeling (at least not always) and there are Fe/Fi dom/auxes that can be this way, however I don't see him as that awkward? Anyway I can't see him as anything but a feeler.

Okay, so the problem with comic book characters and typing them is that they often end up a little all over the place because they get written again with many different writers, mediums and worlds and so their personalities are inconsistant to say the least.

Also what you say briefly about your argument makes it sound like you'd imagine Fi to be bossy rather than a team-worker? I think he does care about the methods based on his morals at least, that's important to him. Also Ti dom/aux care very much about methods and will let the team know if they think that they are inneficient/ doing things in a way which they do no approve of. At the very least if inferior Fe is getting in the way of him voicing this and he decided not to voice these issues you'd still see an inner-monologue criticising other's methods?

Alfred F. Jones: An ENFP who looks like mee!
:proud:
I was considering it but then I can also see him as an ESFP? He seems very sensory to me. Hah, either way when I was into the anime my gf at the time said he was the most like me, ha, I both took it as an insult and compliment? I cosplayed him anyway. ;P

FYI I look nothing like him or you!
