Hello
I've been doing stuff with the enneagram for some time now, but there's one thing I still can't understand of the Nine: the basic fear "of loss and separation; fragmentation".
There's also another thing I believe is rather interconnected with this, the Nine's value seen in relationships with others and other-orientedness. It seems like to many Nines the fear of losing this connection with others is a part of, if not THE basic fear?
It's probably just denial(, repression and disassociation), but I don't seem to relate to this Fear, as well as this thing with the significance of attachment to others. I guess if I try to imagine it I can sort of feel fear a bit. Only a bit though, and it doesn't feel... Genuine. Like I'm trying to purposefully induce it. For sure, I don't get the full immensity of it.
So (the conjunction) Nines, what is the basic fear to you? How do you experience it in your life? What is it about the basic fear that makes it so frightening, distressing, at the root of all things, and well, the basic fear? Or really, just anything you find related to this topic.
Thanks!
