We've already had threads centred on 4chan and Tumblr and the like. Nothing much about reddit so far. So I'm wondering what your (the INTP subforum, though, all types are welcome to pitch in) opinions on reddit are. Post whatever subreddits you're subscribed to/ lurk/ are your favourites while you're at it.

Here's mine (For the uninitiated: I'll link the first subreddit. just add the "/r/SubredditsNameHere" in the url for the rest. Or complain then I'll cave-in and do the rest to save you a few seconds of your precious time):

/r/Berserk
/r/AskHistorians

I agree, it's a problem among most of the larger subreddits. The smaller subs (between 1000 and 15000 subscribers) are usually better in that regard.
Seriously, check out your state/city/community subreddit. (by the way, your state's subreddit has more subscribers than my country's subreddit. Not that I was expecting it to be more.) My country's and my city's subreddit are of my favourite subreddits. It's a very friendly and helpful community.

Don't really care much for the defaults these days unless I'm on the train or something. I'm currently subscribed to:

/r/Dota2
/r/Smashbros
/r/ECE
/r/MachineLearning
/r/Statistics
/r/PolandBall
/r/Brisbane
/r/INTP
/r/Games

Certain subreddits like /r/dota2 and /r/polandball are the de facto community hubs for their respective subject matter. These days though I'm on Quora as much as Reddit.

After reading about SRS, amongst other things, I think the management of Reddit as a whole is weird, and I doubt I'll ever use their services. It's not just about free speech, but also about the interaction between groups. They seem to feed off of irritating each other.

I mostly peruse on work breaks for news, tech support stories, and some other interests. It can be a very circle-jerk place, but I skip right over that stuff. No need to let bad apples spoil the bunch.
