What do you think of the mbti test of this website?

To me, it seems to be more accurate than the test of 16personalities.com

I like it. The questions are less open to interpretation... I still have a pet peeve with the "what do you want a book or a party?" NEITHER!!! I get bored by both! Let me meet with some friends or go to a football (soccer) match or just stay online and read stuff shorter than a book or go to the gym. I lose patience after more than 15 lines... Sorry for the ranting :)

It also has a test based on cognitive functions which is quite rare, the type descriptions, I think, are quite good, including the text for Michael Pierce's presentation for the types (some of the best type descriptions I've ever seen). So, yeah... I like it!

ENFP
Versatile, dynamic, and quirky, you are tireless in your pursuit of the untested, the untried, and the fight against the status quo. You love to interact with all kinds of people and you carry yourself in an expressive and warm manner that ideally sees lots of affirmation flowing both ways. Charismatic and imaginative, you tend to have a well-honed ability to see the world through the eyes of those who do not normally have an advocate to speak for them. You are interested in the potential of others and you often long to help them develop their own aspirations more fully. Ever-inquisitive and appreciative, you have a love of fantasy and adventure and are easily bored by the business-as-usual routines of the corporate and business world. Your own enthusiasm and energy for finding a new and better way arises spontaneously and can often be quite contagious. However, you tend to have little love for resolving the factual specifics of a case, preferring to work by pure inspiration and bursts of energy instead.

It's quite accurate, and description is not overly enthusiastic mad pixie as well.

Most of the T vs F questions (i think you can clearly spot where the test uses these) are nearly impossible to answer for me, because this really depends on the situation and/or person. Generally i find it a bit difficult to choose between 2 options. I prefer tests where you have a spectrum (agree, kind of agree, neutral and so on). Not saying the 16personalities.com test, which does this is good though.

1. I believe that test is very poor at 44 questions. Respectable tests have almost double that, at closer to 96 questions.

2. Second, I tend to highly doubt the validity of the result of tests that have only either/or questions. Humans are highly contradictory creatures, and highly variant.

Questions which show a scale, such as “Question. Strongly Disagree OOOOO Strongly Agree” are more refined in their results.

3. Tests on pages which have ads are automatically garbage. It is usually just clickbait from a “Find out Your Personality!” link.

4. I cannot even answer the first question, which asks if I am pensive and impractical. I am pensive and practical for the most part. The questions were not created by an official source/test creator.

I should at least be able to get past the first question.

I am taking the test anyhow to find other issues with it.

—————————-

As I go through the questions, it is obvious these questions were created by an amateur, working from the gross differences between each function [I vs E, S vs N, F vs T, and S vs J].

Anyone with a partially small knowledge of the functions can game the test and get the MBTI they want.

Obvious T vs F question [10]: “I am a person who: [Keeps their heart warm][Keeps their head cold].

This test is retarded. But I will continue. Sigh.

Finishing thought. Tests which obscure what they are asking about weed out liars. Some persons such as myself can see generally what a question is asking even if a gradated test asking about an individual characteristic.

Some of these questions are enneagram questions: 23.

Question 41: “Whose genius would you rather have? [Shakespeare][Einstein]” This test just became buried garbage. It was garbage before, but it was above ground. Now it buried beneath years of other garbage.

This test receives F- -.

I almost scored INTP on it, but I got INTJ. Second time I took it, I got 55% N over 45% S. Their main mbti "jung" test is different from the INTJ vs INTP test where I got 55% J and 45% P.

In my opinion its extensive and the writers of the test / creators of the test really try to define mbti based off thought processes and in the business/school realm, which is different from the academia (original isabel myers) mbti tests which focus more on adjectives are you peopleloving or alone? are you socialbutterfly or loner?

Since idrlabs deviated so much you can see people get different mbti test result from the isabel myers official mbti test, which means mbti has officially have many different offshoots. however many people do score the same mbti type between idrlabs and officialmbti. (I purposely did not add the space)

There's this weird thing where they treat things as opposing forces when they aren't, leading to where you have to choose between one or the other.

Almost all their P/J questions are very similar too which explains my very strong P. I think the letter P fits me better than J but there are even some dichotomy tests (HumanMetrics and PsychologyCentral) where I am prone to get J.

It's just about as accurate, or inaccurate, as a lot of other tests I've done.
I tend to score very highly on Introversion, 60/40 between Thinking and Feeling, 60/40 between Intuition and Sensing and then very highly on Perceiving.

and this test has stuck to that trend.

Nah, tests we're never good, they always would give out mixed results.

If you trully want to get to know your type with quality content, watch this video and other videos from his channel:

Well, I easily manipulated the obvious responses to get the test to spit out my type. At this point, I know too much about it to do otherwise. I'd love for there to be a test that I couldn't do that with.

Personality Type Test
Your personality type is:
ENTP

Inventive, clever, and enthusiastic, you are always on the lookout for new possibilities and problems to stimulate and challenge your inner world of ideas. You are curious in regard to everything that is new and you seldom feel at ease with the status quo. You have a great need for intellectual novelty, and from time to time you may even challenge people or organizations just to squeeze some new idea out of them. You tend to have a love of discussions and verbal sparring, and in a discussion you may follow an argument to its most extreme conclusion. In such cases you may even be suspected of being provocative for the sake of it. When a truly new idea manages to take hold of your imagination, you are quick to see how that idea could be turned into a project in the real world. You have a great enthusiasm for such projects. The problem is that you have such a vivid imagination that you may sometimes start more projects than it is humanly possible to finish.

You know too much about the MBTI to be tricked. The only realistic way of typing the true you without you interfering would be by having another experienced individual (or a party) observe you behind your back.

It's all right. I like that it seems to have a little more in terms of practical/realistic scenarios than some other tests, but it also had some fairly stereotypical questions. I could tell sometimes when I was answering "against" my type, but got INFP in the end anyway.

The test is similar to the MBTI in the sense that a lot of the S/N items are conflatable with J/P - the S responses emphasise getting things done and solving problems systematically, while the N responses emphasise free exploration of ideas and the pursuit of novelty.

J/P was more of a mixed bag. For that one, it depended mostly on how I interpreted those items. I am a long range planner, but I deliberately plan my future in such a way where I can change tracks when necessary. I prefer to improvise on the smaller details when completing tasks, yet I am meticulous in my work so as to ensure the final product is sturdy and reliable.
