I also like some of Salvador Dali's stuff as well. Leonid Afremov is a bit of a favorite of mine, but I'm not sure that he's necessarily traditional and I've already posted a load of his paintings elsewhere, so I'll refrain.
When I say tradition I am speaking of the mere act of painting on canvas. So it could go from pre-renaissance to today. I also enjoy H.R. Giger and the modern Japanese painter Murakami. I was think of posting them but Magritte has always been #1 for me.

What are your artists MBTI?

Does anybody know of any Famous ISFP painters. I am actually trying to compare an contrast the archetype "the Artist" with others. I hear Picasso is ISFP. Bob Ross is ISFP. The way I can imagine the Contrast in artistic cognitive functions Ne vs. Se is equivalent to these paintings.

My favourite is Vincent van Gogh -

Starry Night

Closely followed by Modigliani (sorry, I got carried away) -

and Paul Gauguin -

It seems I like the tragic artists. They painted with no thought for commercial success and lived and died in poverty. Interestingly, the most expensive van Gogh painting sold for over $71m, a Modigliani nude sold in 2010 for $68.9m and Gauguin's paintings are thought to be worth as much as $39.2m
